"6/2/17 A sliding screen door was installed for the member. 6/2/17 The member called at 4:42pm, she said her door was not closing properly and wanted a service tech to return immediately. I explained to her that because we were closing for the weekend in 18 minutes we would have someone there first thing Monday morning. 6/5/17Called her & left a message 6/8/17 called her and she asked me to please call back at a later time to speak with her husband 6/12/17called her again and she said she or her husband would call us to schedule something soon 6/16/17 called customer again and she said she was having her husband handle this and would have him call us 6/19/17 spoke with her and she verified 6/19/17 was ok for the service tech to do the repairs she was requesting 6/19/17 3:30 pm 2 of J & M installers arrived at the home. The husband was not home, she was and she said her husband would call to make further arraignments; she did not want the tech to do anything at this time 6/19/17when the J & M techs returned to the shop and told me what occurred I contacted her immediately. She said she would have her husband call to make a day available for the techs' 6/21/17 spoke with her and explained to her that we are trying to satisfy their: requests for the repairs and they are making it very difficult for us to do so, with them not cooperating. I also explained to her this matter needs to be resolved ASAP, she then gave me her husbands number to call him. 6/2I/17 | called the husband at the number I was given by his wife. He said he had 9-12 people in his home right now and this would not be a good time. He would contact us 6/29/17 The wife called and asked when we could get to their home for the repairs. I told her we could have someone out within an hour. After 30 minutes the husband Called and said no one showed up. I told him it's been 30 mints it would be shortly. 6/29/17 the owner of J & M showed up at the home of at 1:41 pm. The husband showed Michael the door, the spline was still in place, the screen was separated from the door. Michael asked PJ if someone has been pushing on the door, this is what it appears to happen, not at fault of J & M techs. Michael in turn told the customer whatever the case maybe we would be happy to fix it. He then declined us to fixing the screen. The initial complaint from the customer was never mentioned, the sliding door not closing. The photo the customer has provided does appear to look like the height of a minor child has pushed on the screen. We do recommend in a situation as such that they get a screen guard. Our services at J & M are done with great quality, but cannot with stand someone pushing on the screen. In summary- customer refuses to let us do the repairs, which we would be happy to do. And it seems that they are just attempting to get free service and products. This customer is being extremely unreasonable. We would like to get this issue resolved to their satisfaction and receive final payment. Or we would be happy to come remove what we have already installed and return their deposit."

"Please consider the weather conditions before leaving a review based on your service call. When you called to let us know the roof was leaking we were in the middle of a tropical storm. We cannot fix a leak when it is raining as the sealant will not seal properly when it is wet. We were out there promptly after the storm was over. We do appreciate the A rating for price and quality! Please be assured that you have a warranty on our work for 1 year. We will continue to service it, if needed but keep in mind that the conditions will need to be dry in order to seal a leak. Thank you."

They were a little behind schedule due to weather and the manufacture of the specific materials this area required.
When the construction started they made sure we were involved for each step; they were on time; courteous; and cleaned up debris daily. The project was completed within the time-frame given after they began construction.
We love the French Doors they made and installed for us! The porch area is now the gem of the house, and our favorite place.
They encouraged us to call them if there needed to be any adjustments, and when we developed a transient drip they came out by the next day and reinforced the flashing at one area of the roof.
We are very satisfied with their work and service.

4/17/2014 Followup to vendors response. You did in fact install the roof(incorrectly - no pitch), water just laid on the roof. You sent two different guy's out and they redid the front beam(lowered it). It was at that time talking to them that we decided to enclose the porch and you did do the the front enclosure as you stated. Yes, I filled out your card with a good rating at that time, we loved the looks of it an it essentially gave us another small living are(enclosed front porch). All that was fine untill the first good hard rain and the leaks appearred and started getting worse. Yes, you did send your men ou 7 times(someone different almost every time, sometimes the did something sometimes not). The fact remained the leaks have never stopped and you quite returning my phone calls and never sent anyone back out to actually fix it. I'm sorry for this review, however, you can understand my frustration - paid for roof and enclosure and loved it except the contant leaks. I would love nothing better than to have no leaks and give you a better review. Yes, understand the warranty period is over, however, it was never fixed during the warranty period - Sorry!!! I still have copies of my invoices, notes of date of calls, responses, etc and would be more than happy to discuss with you if you'd like.
"We installed 1 screen wall, 3 windows and a door. We did not install a sun room/porch. We did not install the existing roof which we kindly serviced anyway for leaks. We tried to seal leaks on your roof over a 2 year period going out there 7 times. This job was done in 2004 not 2011. It was a $2400.00 contract not $3500.00. You, sir are being very deceiving and untruthful. You also filled out our comment card as an excellent rating, and stated outstanding job, looks super! I dont know how much farther we could have gone over and beyond for you sir. You are now 9 years out of warranty and your just now leaving a bad rating?"
Mary Beth is a delight to work with. She came the day after I called and provided an estimate. I had called about a repair and she advised me that for their minimum charge, they could rescreen the entire porch. When I looked closely I saw that most of the screens were torn. I got a written estimate and they performed the work within a week. I am
very pleased with the work. This is the second time I've used Jand M, I had them replace and install gutters. Both times the work was excellent, the workers prompt and professional. "Sorry [member name removed], it rained for 3 solid weeks and we didn't want to tear off your roof and damage your glass room trying to install it in bad weather. We also had a delay with the building department after tearing the wood off they had to inspect and approve before we could finish. We try our best to keep our customers happy."

"I looked through your records and we didn't receive your permit until 2 months later, so there must have been issues with the city and permitting, as we did the install 4 days after receiving the permit. Timing can be thrown off sometimes by things that are not within our control. I show 2 service calls on the leaks. I am glad we were able to solve those issues. I am sorry you left us bad feedback as you had rated us excellent on our job rating certificate."
