Island's Bamboo Garden

Great from estimate to installation! Terry and his team worked with me to kindly explain the best bamboo for my needs and revised the estimate until it met my needs and budget. Donny supervised installation. His team was on time, polite, responsive and went above and beyond the call of duty on my installation. They even went back to the shop to retrieve another plant, when I decide that I wanted an additional one for coverage. I highly recommend Island Bamboo, Terry, Donny and the whole team. Two years ago we visited there beautiful bamboo oasis in Pinellas Park.  We bought a buddha bamboo at the time and planted it.  Eventually we were ready to spend some money and Kelly came over and looked at the backyard and wrote down what we wanted. A week or so later he came back with blue prints and we bagan the work. I don't remember how much time it took but whatever the time it was reasonable. We put in a 10x10 ft paver patio that he helped pick out the blocks.  He put in stationary bamboo accent walls that are beautiful.  He put in several bamboo plants and ornamental grasses and sod the balance.  It was a very costly project but it has brought a lot of serenity and beauty to out backyard.  Kelly and his wift Karlyn are never more than a phone call away when we have questions, which continue as the bamboo grows. They also put in some landscape lighting. We will be calling them shortly to put in more lighting and we have questions with some of the grasses and when it's time to trim them.  They are a great couple and complement each other well.  This was a hugely expensive project for us but we are totally happy with the results.

I would recommend them. They are excellent. Their price is reasonable. They were very dependable. They paid attention to details. They responded when I called them between the visits. I would use them in the future.

 

We hired Mr. Bradshaw because he was so helpful with suggestions on making a living screen/wall in a close space to provide us some privacy from a new house going up next to us. Mr. Bradshaw chose the proper clumping bamboo and placed these plants in close enough proximity to each other to give us some instant privacy with the promise of much more of a living wall within the next year. We also chose another specimen plant to give us shade and privacy on the other side of the house. Mr. Bradshaw's crew cut in to our sprinkler system and used drip irrigation for these new plants. Here we are some months later and all are thriving. We had Mr. Bradshaw come out once again as we plan to add some more specimens in the next few weeks.
