Buddy Whitehead's Transmission Service

I went to Buddy's with a problem vehicle to get an opinion on what was happening with the transmission.  He found a problem with something other than the transmission that would not allow him to properly diagnose the transmission issue.  He recommended us fixing the other problem and said he would look at the transmission after that was resolved.  He was very honest and charged a fair price for what ended up being a consultation. We ended up buying a new vehicle but would have chosen him to service the transmission if we went that direction.  

He is a very nice laid back guy who knows what he is doing. He called me and told me what he found and gave me a choice on what could be done. He went ahead and did what I choose and was finished in a surprising short time. He showed me the parts that were bad and told me what happened and was very detailed about the explanation. He was very professional in explaining that the tech that rebuilt the transmission 2 years earlier did a good job but something just went wrong.  I will take my business to him always in the future.

Buddy Whitehead performed this on my son's 2005 Nissan Pathfinder to save his transmission from failure. This was due to a faulty OEM radiator from Nissan, that leaked coolant directly into the transmission. Nissan has kept this quiet and has never offered even original owners any compensation or recall. It is however known in the industry that Nissan understood early on that it would lead to almost certain destruction of the transmission. Buddy's prompt, thorough attention to detail and knowledge saved us from a huge repair bill and transmission is still working fine.

Showed me the work he was doing and when the truck was finished I was very happy with the results.

Automatic transmission was not shifting right, after diagnosis Buddy determined that the problem was in the computer not the transmission.  While he was at it he changed the oil and filter in the transmission.

We believe Buddy is honest and forthright, and you can't beat his years of experience. We took the car in on a Monday, and it was repaired and ready for us to pick up on Thursday that same week. Price did not go over the estimate he gave us and seemed very fair. He even kept the bad parts to show us and explained to us in detail the work he did. We will recommend him to anyone we know who needs transmission work done.

He has been there forever. He is really good and honest. If you say that you need something done, he will look at it, and if you don?t need it, he will advise you about that. He is super reasonable and he charges around $75 to service the transmission. I would rate him highly and would use him in the future.
