ANTHONY'S AC & APPLIANCE

Wow! I called this morning just before 8 am, and I was told someone would be at my house between 830 and 930. And yet again, Anthonys AC was right on time!! Tech came and made sure everything was good inside and then checked outside unit. Found bad capacitor and asked me first if I wanted it replaced. I asked him the price, he said it was 225.00, and of course thought it was a little high, when I could have went to go get one myself. But, I had him install it, and my ac is runnning!! he checked my freon pressures and said i was great on freon and no leaks. Made my day right there!! Thanks Anthonys AC!!

The attic install was fine and an improvement over our old under the house system. Things went bad with Anthony's as the unit got towards the end of its 5-year warranty (and began having problems). The problem is one of Tony's workers doesn't really like to fix things. He found problems twice and didn't fix them -- under the pretense of saving us money. Problem is, we wanted them fixed and we ended up having multiple repair visits (and the loss of use of the unit when we needed it). Once failure to fix a problem caused us to run out of freon and condensation made spots on the ceiling around our AC vents. Tony made it right by getting someone to improve the seal on our ducts and hang our ducts. The same worker came back when the heater quit during a cold snap. It started working again when he touched it and he argued with me about fixing the problem. I wanted the suspect parts replaced; he didn't want to do it. He told me he was saving me money and I didn't know what I was talking about. The heater broke within 24 hours and we spent a cold, angry night waiting to call again. I called Tony to complain. He argued with me too and backed his worker. I had Tony come out -- the other guy was no longer welcome at our house by this point -- and he found that not only were the two suspect parts broken, but they also were under warranty. He completed the repair and left with no additional charge. I gave up on Anthony's this week (June 15 2010) when I asked for Tony to come look at our ailing unit (another part failed even though the unit is only a little more than 5 year old). I asked for Tony, but they sent the other guy I don't like and I cancelled and switched to a new Angie's list A-rated provider. The bottom line: Tony will make it right in the end, but I don't like having to wait for multiple service calls and I don't like to argue about what repairs are needed -- especially when saving me money turns out to be a warranty repair after all. I am very pleased with them because our unit is under warranty and they still took the job, even though it wasn't their warranty. I am very pleased with the service. It's so far so good. These people are great. They are honest and they are family owned, so they care about their customers.

I described the problem and pointed out to Anthony that a previous CO.'s Rep. had left off the protective caps to the AC Freon valves, and possibly the Freon leaked. Anthony went ahead and did a thorough check of the Air Handler inside and then went outside to perform a pressure check. It was discovered that indeed the Freon had leaked approximately 3 Lbs. Anthony was on location for 1 hour. I feel that I received outstanding service on such short notice.

THE SERVICES WERE COMPETITIVELY PRICED. I GIVE HIGH MARKS FOR QUALITY OF WORK. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED IN A TIMELY MANNER AND AS PROMISED. STAFF PERSONABLE AND ATTENTIVE. WORK WAS OF A HIGH QUALITY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
