Kabco started better than they ended with a nice design and very prompt service and execution in the first two months of the project - execution waned extensively after that. Pros - Carlos/Bruno and crew generally nice peeps, good designs, charming and very quick movement at beginning of project. They are also not crooks like so many sofl contractors Cons - the details just never get done - we had a laundry list of items still not closed and impossible to get any completion on. My review last July was a++ with a list of nisance things to close. My review 7 mo later with almost same list is now a c, and falling, as I can't get Kabco to complete work or release me fr small remaining $ owed without legal restrictions (withholding I'm keeping to get work done somewhere else on strong likelihood that Kabco continues to refuse service) Advice - Get payment terms negotiated up front with weekly penalty for delays to ensure enough remaining $ at end to complete work. Do not cave to pressure to work out any non-contract payment terms on promise it will all work out - I did this in November believing in good karma - still believe in good karma but have been taken advantage of (it has not worked out) Net/Net - if you comfy getting to 98% done while paying 100%, proceed with Kabco. If u want 100% you will be as frustrated as I am. Such a shame, proceed at your own risk

This was a $49 kitchen design consultation big deal purchase. It's been a couple of years ago. It took some time. When we signed the contract to do the remodeling then we paid them more because they remodeled our whole kitchen. It cost a lot of money. It took a while going back and forth with what we wanted, ordering materials and getting the build out. There were some things that were problematic, but, again, the quality was good. The gentleman we were working with who was doing the design and helping us pick everything out had a family emergency and had to be out of town for several weeks. But the other people from the company did not communicate that to us so we kept trying to get hold of him or anybody to come out to help us finalize the plans. That was kind of problematic. It was a lack of good communication with them. That was annoying. I have recommended them to others for kitchen remodeling.

Kabco created and presented me with a great design.  I decided not to pursue kitchen remodel with them due to price.

Although the company was very professional and the quality of the work, I"m sure would have been great, the cost was truly absurd.  The quote was for re-doing the bathroom and including literally re-doing the bathroom.  Or...rebuilding from scratch all the way down to the base level ground.  The quote was in excess of $20K when all I really wanted was to do re-tiling.
Response from KabCo Kitchens
"Dear Sir, After reviewing our files, we do not have any documentation of ever giving you or anyone your address you a quote. Further more, we do not offer tiling services. Therefore it is our clear understanding that you have written a review for KabCo Kitchens in error. I will make sure Angie's List is notified immediately. - KabCo Kitchens"

I ultimately had my kitchen done by KABCO.
They did the kitchen design for $59 but would not share them with me unless I was fgoing to buy my kitchen from them. After paying so much money for something  I later found out  they advertised as "free design & consultation" in their ads. I also had to correct the plans & make revisions to fit my expectations. I was very upset that my kitchen plans were being held hostage since my plan was to get exactly what was advertised....a *kitchen design.*
I ultimately did my kitchen installation in 9/2013 from cabinets I ordered from them. The remainder [demolition &removal of old cabinets; installation of new quartz countertops & backsplash; installation of hood & sink including electrical & plumbing; installation of additional outlets & high hat lighting, installation of new flooring, etc was paid for by me to other providers.
The cabinet installers themselves were very professional & efficient, cleaned up thoroughly, and the finished product looked very nice. The appliance cabinet door was incorrectly measured  - the new door took what seemed like forever to replace & was too short. The installer tried to make it fit by adding molding, etc & the final product looked "odd" & I was very unhappy with it. Also, the bottom of the cabinets were never stained to match the front of the cabinets to this day. Despite promises to obtain stain from the cabinet provider, the story changed to "I would have to pay for it!" I took the original door for the appliance garage, adjusted it so I could install it & did so myself. It seems once I paid the total amount of my kitchen, I fell to a place of 'ho hum' about my issues, including three of the drawer dampers were not working properly  which I ended up having to remedy myself. To this day, the bottom of my cabinets are glaringly unmatched & my sales contact seemed to forget that he had promised me stain....
The pricing was higher than anyone else I researched and the high cost of a design/blueprint they would not give me or let me look at unless I paid for a kitchen from them, made me give an overall grade of "B."

Carlos showed us two design possibilities for our kitchen.  We chose the island design.  All really went well for the most part.  Cabinets were ordered and came in on time.  The only hiccup was a mix-up on the tile order.  There was a shortage on the day of the install and I had to wait for the rest of the tile which set the finish back a few weeks.  Any problems (slight) were quickly taken care of by Alex, the site supervisor.  Texts were always quickly answered and results were seen quickly.  Kabco was always professional and pleasant.  Carlos always had a big smile for me!

We selected our cabinets and color based on what they showed us in their showroom. We went on to select all coordinating items for our kitchen based on the color we chose. That color was a cherry wood, deep color, nice shine, beautiful. What we got was a dull, brown set of VERY EXPENSIVE AND EXTREMELY OVERPRICED cabinets. We notified them about the color and sheen issue immediately, as soon as the first carton was opened. They keep telling us one day they will darken to the color we saw, and we did get the sheen we saw in the showroom. There is no way that these cabinets will EVER obtain that color we selected. These are a pecan, dull finished cabinet and neither Kabco nor Showplace would do anything to replace them even BEFORE they were installed. These two guys at Kabco also don't know the first thing about design. They told us to buy a 30 inch hood for the range because then it will look like it's floating. Well had they had ANY design sense whatsoever, they would have known that with the height of the cabinets a 30 inch hood looks puny and small. The space requires a 36 inch hood to balance off the height differential. Also, we gave them dimensions for ALL appliances, TV, etc. They made the ice maker cabinet too small, the TV cabinet too small, the microwave cabinet too big, and charged us for custom cabinets when everything but one base cabinet were standard sizes. This left large gaps between cabinets with a lot of wasted space. In addition, we had a banquette we were reusing and they were told specifically to cut only one end where we were shortening the bench. They cut BOTH ENDS! Then they left it totally uneven and we had to wait another 2 weeks for someone to come and fix it. Then wait another two weeks for someone to come and finish it. Then wait another two weeks for someone to come and fix some missing parts in other areas of the kitchen. Then wait another two weeks because they didn't send the parts with the repair person. They make no attempt to expedite anything! So, if you want inferior cabinets in a color you never selected, and overpay CONSIDERABLY for something that looks like cheap box cabinets, then use Showplace cabinets and Kabco.. But if you prefer an honest company that provides experienced designers and stands behind their product, Kabco and Showplace are NOT the companies to use.

Excellent. Carlos was punctual, efficient, to the point, listened to my issues and was truthful about what the cost was likely to be. When I met with him several days later, he had drawings and a plan ready for discussion. He was sensitive about my budget, but had high standards about making the place beautiful even with a relatively modest budget.

They were fine! I used them while I was shopping around and I appreciated their service. Everything they said they would do, they absolutely did. They were nice people, but their design and pricing wasn't what I was looking for. They are good at what they do, but I found a better deal by finding a general to do the work.

We just completed  a kitchen redo with them. They designed the kitchen. They hooked us up with a contractor that they usually use to demolish the old kitchen. They are pretty awesome, and they come when they say they are going to come. They always call if they don't. Their workers are punctual. They take care of any problems that you don't like, right away. The owner actually comes out and sees the work. They are pretty good.

Because we had taken delivery of all of the appliances and fixtures ahead of the start date, the majority of the work on both the kitchen and bath was completed in about 3 weeks. The KabCo team's cabinet installers are perfectionists - they take their time to make sure every single cabinet is installed and working perfectly. The contractor started out great - his team's work was meticulous and neat, but about halfway through the job they began taking a few short cuts, which showed in the end result. When we brought this to the KabCo designer's attention, he made sure the contractor re-did the work to our complete satisfaction. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and bath and have gotten numerous compliments from family and friends who think our "makeovers" look like something out of a magazine! I have recommended KabCo to a couple of friends considering kitchen or bath remodeling and will continue to do so.

The kitchen was finished 2 months after George came to our place to take measurements. He charged $70 up front for a computer generated design. This was non-refundable, but in our case it was deducted from the final bill as we used this company. We went to his office to see the design. He explained every thing and in detail what to expect. He guide us to find a contractor. He recommended (Bruno Maganza from Hollywood, FL). Once we signed the contract we gave him 40%. Then 40% once finished everything was installed and the final 10% after review of the final product. The work with the contractor (removing a wall, floors, plumbing, electricity, installation of hood, etc etc) was separate from Kabco's (additional $12,000 that included the Coral Gables headache permits).  George went with us to a place to choose the granite countertop as well to a tile store to choose the floor tile. He was in touch with us at all times. He is very professional, approachable, friendly and a great person.
The cabinets, counter area occupied 139 inches by 155 inches. The total area of the kitchen was 139 X 241.
Once the demolition started, it took 6 weeks to have the beautiful kitchen we have now. The price was in the high end, but not the most expensive of the six estimates we obtained.
We installed 42 inches cabinets, roll-out trays pantry, double waste baskets, molding, island, etc.
Make sure what the size of the sink you buy before getting one. I bought one that did not fit the counter and I had to rush finding another one from the person who installed the granite countertop. The stainless steel sink I ended up buying is great. This point here is to bring up the fact that some times in this type of job communications gaps may occur.
Kabco's recommendation of Bruno Maganza, the contractor was the best thing could have happen. Two doors of the cabinets had subtle dents made accidently during installation. They are under warranty and Kabco is replacing them at no cost.
I recommend Kabco and Bruno Maganza to remodel your kitchen without any hesitation !

design phase was excellent. Carlos and Jorge were very helpful and patient.  The cabinets are high quality in design and features. We have a large project and are still in process. cabinets and countertop to be installed by end of September. Their recommendation for contractor, Maganza Enterprises, was excellent.  Bruno Maganza and his eam work quickly, cleanly, and provide quality structural and finished work.

First impression was great. They came to house and took measurements, very personable. We went out to their store on a saturday afternoon to see the plans. At first glance they looked ok. We were told we couldnt take home the plans unless we put down a 50% deposit. This should not have been the case since we paid for plans with our "deal". We went ahead and put down the deposit. We had been at the store for 2 hours at this time and just wanted to get home. Unfortunately we didnt read the contract very closely and didnt notice that cancellation MAY cost 10% of price. Once we got home we decided that the plans weren't exactly what we wanted. We called the store but it was closed. We left voice mails for both the owner and the sales rep. We also sent an email to the sales person letting them know that we wanted to cancel the contract. We still wanted to work with them but didnt want to have a contract until we were 100% satisfied. It took several months but we finally got a full refund.

The team was professional, courteous and ontime for measurements. The design project came out very nice and it did not bother me to have to go to their showroom to look at the project. Cabinet cost was higher than market average and we opted for continuing our research.
The issue and disappointment: I was unable to keep the final design work which was THE ONLY THING I originally purchased.

Carlos and Alex came to our home to measure our kitchen so they could design a new layout and give us a quote for our remodel.  They showed up on time and were very professional.  They both were warm and made us feel very comfortable.  They had our new design ready in a few days.
We live in a home that was built in the mid-50s and our current kitchen has much to be desired.  It is a strange layout and I did not have hope that much could be changed to improve it besides new cabinets.  When my husband and I went to Kabo's design center we were shocked and amazed at what those two had designed for us.  It was absolutely gorgeous and looked like something that you would find in a design magazine.  It was also very well laid out as far as the usability of the kitchen.  They moved things around completely and gave us a open feel where the person in the kitchen could still interact with guests in the living room or at the "new" breakfast bar".
The quote was higher then expected but certainly not unfair.  We have never remodeled a kitchen so I don't think we were really aware of the level of expense we were looking at.  We are saving up a bit more and when the time comes will definitely contact Kabo Kitchen.  Although we have yet to use their services for a new kitchen, I would not hesitate in recommending them.

They came out and measured my kitchen. They gave a ballpark figure of what it would cost, which I thought was way too expensive. I will probably do the work myself. They were nice fellows and came out pretty quickly. However, I will not go back to them.

After we agreed on the design and the price they started the work.  They removed the old kitchen and that was done without any problems.  The next step was to install the cabinets and he had an outstanding crew install the cabinets and all the trim., any problems were corrected right away.  The reason I would strongly recommend this company because with the owner Carlos you get and outstanding individual who stands by his work.  When we had a problem with the Microwave trim Carlos came out with a wonderful solution and it was better than we expected.  While all major projects have problems the new kitchen had very few and they were taken care of by the work crew or Carlos .  The appliances and all the work was completed to our satisfaction before we made the final payment.  The design and the new kitchen is outstanding and we are very happy with Kabco.
