This was a $49 kitchen design consultation big deal purchase. It's been a couple of years ago. It took some time. When we signed the contract to do the remodeling then we paid them more because they remodeled our whole kitchen. It cost a lot of money. It took a while going back and forth with what we wanted, ordering materials and getting the build out. There were some things that were problematic, but, again, the quality was good. The gentleman we were working with who was doing the design and helping us pick everything out had a family emergency and had to be out of town for several weeks. But the other people from the company did not communicate that to us so we kept trying to get hold of him or anybody to come out to help us finalize the plans. That was kind of problematic. It was a lack of good communication with them. That was annoying. I have recommended them to others for kitchen remodeling.
Kabco created and presented me with a great design. I decided not to pursue kitchen remodel with them due to price.
"Dear Sir, After reviewing our files, we do not have any documentation of ever giving you or anyone your address you a quote. Further more, we do not offer tiling services. Therefore it is our clear understanding that you have written a review for KabCo Kitchens in error. I will make sure Angie's List is notified immediately. - KabCo Kitchens"

They did the kitchen design for $59 but would not share them with me unless I was fgoing to buy my kitchen from them. After paying so much money for something I later found out they advertised as "free design & consultation" in their ads. I also had to correct the plans & make revisions to fit my expectations. I was very upset that my kitchen plans were being held hostage since my plan was to get exactly what was advertised....a *kitchen design.*
I ultimately did my kitchen installation in 9/2013 from cabinets I ordered from them. The remainder [demolition &removal of old cabinets; installation of new quartz countertops & backsplash; installation of hood & sink including electrical & plumbing; installation of additional outlets & high hat lighting, installation of new flooring, etc was paid for by me to other providers.
The cabinet installers themselves were very professional & efficient, cleaned up thoroughly, and the finished product looked very nice. The appliance cabinet door was incorrectly measured - the new door took what seemed like forever to replace & was too short. The installer tried to make it fit by adding molding, etc & the final product looked "odd" & I was very unhappy with it. Also, the bottom of the cabinets were never stained to match the front of the cabinets to this day. Despite promises to obtain stain from the cabinet provider, the story changed to "I would have to pay for it!" I took the original door for the appliance garage, adjusted it so I could install it & did so myself. It seems once I paid the total amount of my kitchen, I fell to a place of 'ho hum' about my issues, including three of the drawer dampers were not working properly which I ended up having to remedy myself. To this day, the bottom of my cabinets are glaringly unmatched & my sales contact seemed to forget that he had promised me stain....
The pricing was higher than anyone else I researched and the high cost of a design/blueprint they would not give me or let me look at unless I paid for a kitchen from them, made me give an overall grade of "B."
"Thank you for your comments. We sincerely appreciate your feedback."

Because we had taken delivery of all of the appliances and fixtures ahead of the start date, the majority of the work on both the kitchen and bath was completed in about 3 weeks. The KabCo team's cabinet installers are perfectionists - they take their time to make sure every single cabinet is installed and working perfectly. The contractor started out great - his team's work was meticulous and neat, but about halfway through the job they began taking a few short cuts, which showed in the end result. When we brought this to the KabCo designer's attention, he made sure the contractor re-did the work to our complete satisfaction. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and bath and have gotten numerous compliments from family and friends who think our "makeovers" look like something out of a magazine! I have recommended KabCo to a couple of friends considering kitchen or bath remodeling and will continue to do so.
The cabinets, counter area occupied 139 inches by 155 inches. The total area of the kitchen was 139 X 241.
Once the demolition started, it took 6 weeks to have the beautiful kitchen we have now. The price was in the high end, but not the most expensive of the six estimates we obtained.
We installed 42 inches cabinets, roll-out trays pantry, double waste baskets, molding, island, etc.
Make sure what the size of the sink you buy before getting one. I bought one that did not fit the counter and I had to rush finding another one from the person who installed the granite countertop. The stainless steel sink I ended up buying is great. This point here is to bring up the fact that some times in this type of job communications gaps may occur.
Kabco's recommendation of Bruno Maganza, the contractor was the best thing could have happen. Two doors of the cabinets had subtle dents made accidently during installation. They are under warranty and Kabco is replacing them at no cost.
I recommend Kabco and Bruno Maganza to remodel your kitchen without any hesitation !
The issue and disappointment: I was unable to keep the final design work which was THE ONLY THING I originally purchased.
We live in a home that was built in the mid-50s and our current kitchen has much to be desired. It is a strange layout and I did not have hope that much could be changed to improve it besides new cabinets. When my husband and I went to Kabo's design center we were shocked and amazed at what those two had designed for us. It was absolutely gorgeous and looked like something that you would find in a design magazine. It was also very well laid out as far as the usability of the kitchen. They moved things around completely and gave us a open feel where the person in the kitchen could still interact with guests in the living room or at the "new" breakfast bar".
The quote was higher then expected but certainly not unfair. We have never remodeled a kitchen so I don't think we were really aware of the level of expense we were looking at. We are saving up a bit more and when the time comes will definitely contact Kabo Kitchen. Although we have yet to use their services for a new kitchen, I would not hesitate in recommending them.
