Deco Crete

I THOUGHT everything was paid for until one of his subcontractors put a lien on my home because Deco Crete didn't pay his bill to them. I had to pay Deco Crete's subcontractor a large sum of money that I had already paid to Deco Crete! I paid TWICE! Beware that your contractor has paid THEIR subcontractors, or the subcontractor can put a lien on your home if they have done work at your home if you don't pay! ...regardless of who you already gave the money to.

The contract was for a 12' X12' cement slab, 4" high.   This is for a 100 square foot steel shed to be placed on.  Part of the area has old cement already in place, at grass level.  Carl was just going to pour the new slab on top of the old.  Subsequent contractors have told me that this would have lead to the new cement cracking over time.  A blessing in disguise that I didn't have this clown do the work.
 Nothing in the one page contract states that the deposit is non refundable.

They did a fabulous driveway and it looks gorgeous. There were things that I should not have paid for but I did anyway just because I was a little worried that if I did not then they might not have done quite as nice even though he assured me that it would be done.
