If you care about your pet at all go somewhere else because they don't care about you or your pet. If you are having issues and you need any last minute appointments or an agreed upon treatment plan they will not accommodate you. If you have an appointment with them be ready to wait at least 30 to 60 minutes after your appointment time to be seen. They also don't answer the phone or return phone calls which is a huge issue if you need a prescription refill. Ive been going here for 6 plus years now and they have been sold to a corporation. Dealing with the rude and unprofessional office manager (Kyle Felts) and staff (almost all new because previous staff all quit due to poor treatment) who only give excuses as to why they can't accommodate an elderly pet has been a nightmare. I have obviously gotten upset and spoken my mind because once the hospital was purchased my treatment plan and accommodations for my pet (who can barely walk) were thrown out the window. Adding insult to injury I had already made an appointment to get a new veterinarian and wanted to call to get the corporate offices phone number to report their employee Kyle Felts. He refused to give me the number or the name of the corporation he works for and then told me to find a new veterinarian in which I had already done so (still don't have that information). I still needed to get enough medication to last until I see the new vet and am able to and get a new prescription to refill his 8 medications (I get them from various places) in which they refused to do and only refilled one that I get from their office. My dog relies on his medication for his severe allergies, arthritis and issues swallowing his food. Adding to it when I went to pick up my medical record for the past 6 years they refused to give me his complete medical record. They instead gave me some sort of print out of correspondence that I had with them for the last couple of months and wanted to argue with me. I had to call the sheriff's department (was recommended for me to do so by another customer) in order to see if I could get some kind of assistance in getting my medical record and in the process was screamed at by a random customer along with their office staff. Needless to say the sheriff told me to go ahead and leave and report them. I now have to do a formal complaint with the licensing board for their refusal to refill an adequate amount of medication for my dog in order to get a new prescription(which is illegal), failing to give me my complete medical record and withholding information. This has been a nightmare and I am just hoping I can get in to my new vet in time and they are able to get my dog the medication he needs. This clinic and the office manager lies to try to cover his back and none of them seem to care about animals. It is unfortunate that pets have to suffer due to negligence. As shown by many other comments on here from long standing customers of this clinic not just me it is best if you bring your pet to someone who actually cares about them like you do. I will be telling everyone I sent to this clinic to change vets.

The last time my dog was dying and they wouldn't see her and they were my vet they told me to go to, they were booked up so I should go to the emergency room so the emergency room wouldn't take me because they don't open unit six o'clock at night so my dog died.
They don't necessarily take care of you they'll just turn you away.
They were having great problems with many people in the day and so I guess they decided to change it and they were gonna be really rigid about it so before you just went in and sit sometimes you have to sit for an hour but I didn't mind we all talked to each other.
I think make the best money for them in a certain time and I think that they should have spaces for emergencies in the day time and not over book so much that, that's what their doing their over booked and their tired and they don't want, it was a Friday and they wanted to go home and so they just left and said nope can't help you bye.

Ellenton Animal Hospital is close by and trustworthy. However their prices are on the high side and they are often fully booked with appointments which require you to get an appointment later than wanted.
