About us
Spray foam insulation is a polyurethane foam that’s been around since the 1940s. This type of insulation is gaining popularity in the Panhandle because of its superiority to traditional fiberglass insulation for both residential and commercial applications. It lasts much longer than fiberglass and helps reduce energy bills and minimize outside noise. Two types. Open cell insulation is best used for interior areas. It’s an excellent sound barrier, is fire retardant, mold-proof, and is a pest deterrent. Since open cell foam is flexible, it allows for seasonal movement within the structure. It can also be installed at a lower cost for the same R-value. Closed cell insulation is also fire retardant, mold-proof and a pest deterrent, but in addition, it is also a vapor barrier, which makes it ideal for installation in crawl spaces and metal buildings. Closed cell insulation also adds structural integrity and works well for houses in special flood hazard areas prone to flooding & storm surge
