John suggested the reason the GFI would continuously trip would be the float drawing excess amps when malfunctioning. He said that if that was the case, we could spend about $200.00 for a new float or purchase a new pump (float comes with the new pump) for $575.00. My wife and I decided to bite the bullet and pay for the new pump because it came with a 3-year warranty. When John started cutting the pump discharge line, waste started seeping from the cut he was making in the pipe so he stopped and investigated the problem. John explained that the screen/filter in the septic tank was clogged, preventing any waste from entering the tank. The screen was cleaned, the pipe was fixed, and the GFI no longer tripped (Yaaaaaaay!). John was pretty certain that this would take care of the problem but if it turned out that the pump still needed to be replaced, he would knock $75.00 off the price of the pump. It's been a week since Superior Septic fixed the problem and the GFI and pump are 'talking to each other' again. Thank you John.
The septic tank provider of service and quot;Johnand quot; was prompt and on time scheduled for service.
Septic take was located and quickly was pumped out. Area around septic tank and truck did not have any of the sewage left around them or on the road and driveway.
When finished He ask me to flush all toilets (4) before lid replaced on tank. Also he explained to me how to check at any time if the toilet reservoirs' seals closed correctly after flushing . He had me do the test in each toilet to see if any showed a continual slow leak. One of the toilets reservoir had a slow leak and was quiet easy for me to replace a washer. This preventive measure for me to be able to identify and decrease possibly amount of the unknown flow of fluid into septic tank was appreciated. He took the time to help me be part of a preventive care solution.
Thanks to him and his associate - Both were very professional, clean, and seamed to enjoy their work
the day of the inspection and had to run several hours late, but they
kept me informed of what was going on and when they could be there. They
determined the septic system needed to be replaced. They waited 30
minutes for the real estate agent to get there so we could flush the
toilets to determine that no water was coming into the system. There was
a lot of back and forth with the owner and real estate agent over the
phone and Superior went out the next day to go over the issues with the
owner and review other details. Th owner ended up hiring them to replace
the septic system and I know he was satisfied with their work and their
quick response. I would highly recommend them and will use them for all
my future service
