Auto Sales
In the past 6 years, I have purchased two brand new 4Runners from PC Toyota so when I was looking for another vehicle last month I went to their website first. I had been looking at a slightly used truck online when I was pinged by the online assistant. I described the truck I was interested in and was contacted personally by a salesman, David H. I explained to him that I lived about 2 hours away and wanted to iron out the details before driving all the way over. After telling David H that I was interested in one particular truck and about my possible trade in, I was contacted by Kevin from financing. Kevin took my trade information and gave me a trade in value over the phone. At this point, I gave him my information so he could run a credit check on my EXCELLENT credit, which he did. The deal was done. So far, so good. I arranged with David H to bring the trade over to Panama City and check out the truck. I contacted David at 3pm that day and told him we were getting ready to leave home. He had said he would have the truck ready for us and to ask for him when we got there. After battling the traffic and construction for almost two hours, we arrived at the dealership and asked for David. Another salesman told us that David was busy but he would help us. We walked out to the truck and another salesman (probably David H) was showing it to another customer. Our new salesman told us they were ‘working numbers’. We explained that we drove over specifically to get this vehicle and had already worked out the particulars with financing. He offered us a test drive which we took. After the test drive, I told the new salesman that I wanted to purchase the truck and was told that it was already sold. My husband spoke with PC Toyota sales manager, Danno C, explaining what happened and his response was ‘This happens all the time in the car business’. I can unequivocally state that is the rudest, most unprofessional service with which I have ever encountered. Danno also told my husband that we should have put a deposit down on the truck. That option was NEVER mentioned to me or I certainly could have done that. That was the extent of the sales manager’s concern over the situation and we were basically dismissed. Bad business! And as for David H, we never heard a word from him again! Even after I texted him and asked what happened, nothing…..crickets. The next day I emailed PC Toyota’s General Manager and explained what had happened. You guessed it, not even the courtesy of a response. I would particularly like to highlight that PC Toyota initially called me about the truck. The finance department contacted me to work the numbers on a trade in. The salesperson then contacted me to make arrangements to come over and get the truck. Then when I show up after driving two hours (oh, did I mention it was raining??), they sold it out from under me. Shady dealings and inexcusable! We were lured over to PC Toyota with the promise of a vehicle then treated shabbily. I will not be buying another vehicle from PC Toyota. Customer relations and loyalty means absolutely nothing to them.

They were alright. They came down to the price I could afford after talking with them for a little while.

Excellent! The service professional I dealt with was respectful and took all the time required to explain what was done. I waited for the car.The waiting area was clean, coffee hot and it was ladies day and while we waited my wife had her nails done. She loved that. This dealership is exceptional in every respect. We have purchased four Toyotas from Panama City Toyota and will always give them first shot at our car business.

I'm been going there for about 15 years. The last two vehicles that I have driven have been Toyota's. My current vehicle is a Toyota so I always go to dealers that in fact like them rather than going to some Jiffy Lube or whatever but I have always had good service. The service crews have always been friendly and cooperative and good about pointing out things that might need to be done but not like emergency things but I should think about it having them done and fortunately I haven't had any repairs in driving my Toyota's for the past 15 years just routine maintenance and I have it all done like I have repairs like brakes that sort of thing but I never had any breakdowns or any problems with anything going on but I go on a regular basis mainly for maintenance.

Noticed one wiper was not working well during a heavy rain storm. I just pulled into the Toyota dealership told them the problem and they corrected the problem in 20 minutes even though there was a line of cars to be serviced.

This review covers four service visits (three on a new vehicle where service was included in the purchase price of the vehicle):
1) Failed to properly inflate tires after tire rotation (did come to my place of work to correct issue)
2) Failed to complete detail of vehicle (left wax on several spots on vehicle)
3) Failed to reset service reminder (when I called to get this corrected I was treated as if it was my fault)
4) Failed to properly inflate tires after rotation and tightened valve covers to the point that a wrench was required to remove them (this time I brought a tire pressure gauge with me so the rework was done on site - took an additional 25 minutes to correctly set the tire pressure)
