Kevin did an outstanding job, that is, once he had the opportunity to do it. He got it pressure washed fairly quickly and then it began to rain most every day as it does here in the Florida panhandle during the summer. Undeterred, Kevin made multiple trips to the house, working on the pergola as the weather would allow. Kevin is very persistent and a perfectionist in his work so he stayed at it over several days and visits and put the final coating on the pergola today! It looks great and was worth the wait! He was concerned about the time it took but I told him I would rather wait and have it done really well than rush and get a poor job. He hung with it and I will definitely be hiring him in the future for fence and deck work around the house. This is the second job he has done for us, both with outstanding results.

I met with Kevin and got an estimate in November 2015. I paid the amount required for him to start the job. Beings it was near Thanksgiving I was expecting a delay on the start of the project but not a year later. After Christmas he finally began the job. At the start of the project I asked for an additional part to be added to the initial fence as we had agreed on and he accepted quoting me a dollar amount. In February 2016 I paid Kevin the total amount due him for performing the initial work plus the additional job. Needless to say it is September 2016 and my 400+ foot privacy fence is not complete. He left materials unsecured on my property and some of the lumber was stolen. This is vacation property and he was made aware there would not be anyone on the property for lengthy periods of time. Once the back yard was enclosed he quit working on the fence completely. I called him to ask what was the trouble in not completing the rest of the fence and he informed me he had forgotten but he would be over to the house in a couple of days to start again. Between reunions, weddings, moving and renovating his newly acquired house, fishing trips and playing music with his band there continued to be excuses for not completing the job. I suppose I may get my completed fence that I have paid full cost for when fishing season is over and businesses do not need his band performances and family members do not get married. I can not in good faith recommend him to do any work for anyone because I have waited almost a year for him to do mine and at the rate he is going and the multiple excuses he has I may never get to see the completed project unless I hire someone else. Each time I have contacted Kevin about the completion work he tells me he can not complete my fence until he gets money from other jobs he is doing so he can replace the lumber he allowed to be stolen from my home site. I paid Kevin in full for a job that became a dereliction of duty on his part not mine yet I am having to wait for him to make up for his mistakes at my expense. Kevin has very bad work ethics and is not dependable or reliable.

"first of all the was a complete miscommunication...the home was a vacation home they were hardly ever there....her husband changed what she had explained for me to do during a visit where he came by himself....I did what he said and thought I was done...6 months later she calls me mad that the job wasn't finished....hello....anyway the extra material they had paid for I left under their garage area....during that time alot of the materials had been stolen....I paid out of my pocket to replace them and finished the area that I was told by her husband not to do...."

Started off a little rough, his nail broke on another job and I had to wait a day or two beyond when he was supposed to start my job for him to get it repaired. No sooner did he get his nail gun repaired and his Uncle passed away so he had to go out of town for several days for the funeral. I waited on him because we had negotiated a good, fair price for the double gate and he came highly recommended. Things happen, life happens! His work was worth the wait! He did a very nice job and even replaced a few boards in the fence itself because their appearance (cracked) bothered him, no charge.

This is the second time Kevin has worked for us. Earlier he constructed a custom fence with a great view into the park behind our new home. Based on our first experience we contracted for Kevin to construct an additional shadow box 6' high fence along one side of the house with a 4' wide gate. Everything worked out smoothly and I would not hesitate to have him do additional work for us.

Picked up his $1,000.00 promptly on 8/24/2004. (Check needed to be put in his name and NOT the name of his company?)
Called on 8/29 stating he would start on 9/1. Called on 9/1 to tell me he would start on 9/ 2.
Tuesday 9/2 came in the am took out 1/3 to 1/2 of chained link fence. Left a message on my phone around 10:30 stating he had to leave due to an emergency leaking pipe. . At that time he promised he would have the job done by Thursday, 9/4.
Wednesday: 9/3 Kevin finished taking down the fence and stacking the boards. He was done before I returned home for lunch.
Thursday he called and left a message at 11:39 letting me know he could not come that day due to a Headache. He stated he would be back the next day to set the post. He sent a friend over to pick up the boards.
Friday 9/5 came at 7:00 am worked 1 1/2 hour setting the post. He promised the job would be done by Sunday.
Sunday, 9/7 called at 8:30 letting me know he returned home late from an out of town event and needed to rest.
Monday 9/8 NO CALLS, DID NOT SHOW UP! I called him at 4:50 PM. He stated he did not come because he thought it was going to rain. (It did not rain from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm)
FINALLY THE JOB GOT DONE!!!
Called on 10/8 letting him know we had many boards the were split 1/4 to 1/2 of the length.
Several days later he stopped by and marked 8 to 10 boards to be replaced. I told him I would be out of town for 3 weeks and would call him when I returned.
Called on Thursday, November 13th and he would come wither 11/21 or 11/22 to replace the boards. He stated he would call before coming.
Today, December 5th he has yet to call or come and replace those boards.
AS one can see he is not dependable with his words.
He left parts of the chained fence links on the ground and I had to due a fair amount of clean up after he left. He unplugged my timer for the lawn sprinklers and did not replug it in when he left.
The fence appears cheap to me and the latch the is attacked to the double wide gate does not latch well. This latch allows strangers to enter my yard from the alley. My previous fence's latch only allow the gate to be opened from the yard only.

The weather caused a bit of a delay but even during it, Kevin kept in constant communication with us. I'll definitely use him for some other work we plan to do. I'd highly recommend!

Built a 6' high shadow box privacy fence along two property lines between neighboring houses. Also built the same type of fence with a 4' gate perpendicular to the house. The rear of property abuts a wooded park and along this property line Kevin built an attractive open post and wire fence that allows us to take advantage of the views of the woods in the park. There is also a post and wire locking gate that allows us and our dogs to access a nearby walking trail in the park. This part of the fence is quite unique and Kevin did an excellent job in making it look attractive.

He was amazing. The fence is beautiful, well built. I get all kinds of compliments on it. It's a really nice fence and it looks beautiful. I found a design that I liked on the Internet and he just nailed it literally. The design is beautiful. He was nice and just very, very polite. After I talked to him I just liked him personally. He is really nice and he's very polite and very respectful. He is respectful of your properly. He was really good about picking up all his little scraps of wood, he was very consciousness. Every time I called him, he'd call me right back. He came when he said he was going to come, he was very professional.

Kevin's Custom Fence and Decks was good except he was constantly short of deal with the installations appointment three times but the work he did was good. They were professional and good once they got there.

Very nice person who did exactly what we contracted to do. The fence looks great and we are pleased. Only two small issues.....we think that most people use 3 nails in 3 places on the fence boards, but Kevin used 2 in each of the 3 places. Secondly, this is a playground for young children at a childcare center. None of the concrete around the new posts was cleaned up after it set. We are having to break it all up and rake as much of it out as we can, as the concrete chunks are not compatible with young children! Otherwise, we really like the fence and would use him again, just watching for correcting these two issues.

"WELL IM HAPPY YOU LIKED YOUR FENCE ...FIRST OF ALL THE NAILS I USE ARE THE MOST EXPENSIVE YOU CAN BUY...THEY ARE VINYL COATED DOUBLE GALVANISED...WHITCH MEANS WHEN IT IS SHOT IN THE BOARD THE VINYL TURNS TO AN ADHESIVE. THAT IS THE REASON FOR 2 NAILS. I ACTUALLY USED MORE THAN NEEDED. AS FOR THE CONCRETE , THE POSTS ARE SET IN ALMOST BEACH SAND AND IT HAS RAINED QUITE A BIT SINCE I FINISHED THE FENCE. SO IT COULD HAVE WASHED SOME OF THE SAND BACK , IM NOT SURE. Kevin Langford, owner/operator of Kevin's Custom Fence and Decks, replaced my 400' privacy fence. I obtained 3 bids and his was $4,000 less than the other two bids. Kevin did all of the work himself, including a custom built portion I had requested and which he had never done before. He did an outstanding job. Kevin is a one man operation, which helped keep the cost down. It took him a total of five days to complete. He was punctual, professional and always kept me informed as to his progress and what he would accomplish the following day. The cost of the fence included $2,700 in materials, which I paid for before he began. I liked knowing the cost of the materials and being able to purchase them using his builders discount. The only negative thing if there is one, is that when the job was complete he could of cleaned up a little better than he did. However, this was not a major problem and could be me just be overly critical. He gave me a 3 Guarantee, in writing, which told me how sure he was of the quality of his work. I would highly recommend Kevin to anyone that is considering replacing their privacy fence.

Kevin was great. He had a couple things come up where we had to reschedule but he always called and kept us up to date on what was going on. He returns calls quickly...usually within just a few minutes. We have a large yard with several areas of fence that were in bad shape and we needed new posts as well. Kevin knows his craft! This guy is fast and does excellent work! He is the only fence guy we will use from now on!!! He is also a very nice and professional person!!!

I contacted Kevin's Custom Fence and Deck service, I left a message, the owner called back within an hour as stated in his message. I asked a lot of questions trying to decide if I wanted a vinyl fence or a wood fence. He was very patient and answered all of my questions.
He arranged a time to meet me at the property, he called the day he was to meet me to confirm again and was prompt. He measured for the deck and fence we needed. He was very pleasant and reassured us with our decisions. He called us back with a price that was more then fair compared to the other services I called.
When we agreed to use him he only required enough money to buy the supplies, the balance to be paid when he was done.
He arrived on time and even called when it rained to let us know he wouldn't be working.
When he was finished he had torn down, removed, rebuilt, and educated us on our deck and fence with less money and very good quality.
He also called us later to make sure we didn't have any concerns or questions about the finished product.
