Joni's Beach Rentals Inc

I showed my fiancee as an future additional occupant, but expressly said the application had to stand on my income/credit/background, because she was in the middle of a lease. But, without her full name, address, social security number or signature, they decided to run a background check without her or my approval. With a fairly common name, they got the wrong person! They rejected me because they said she had evictions and drug charges on her background check! Then, to make it worse, they talked to my landlady and told her my fiancee had some issues with evictions and drug charges!

We have used Joni's Beach Rentals for over a decade. Generally, once a year. Until this past July, we had never been disappointed. The condo we rented was in great need of repair, paint, and a good deep cleaning. There was food on the oven, the lint standing on the laundry room door was about 1/8 of an inch thick, there were pictures missing from the walls (the nails were there...but no pictures), the cleanliness of the bathrooms was questionable, and there have been no updates to the condo in years. No flat screen TV's, that kind of neglect. I wrote to them with my concerns when we got back home and asked them to make an adjustment on the bill. I did not ask to not be charged as we stayed there and used the space. I included photos of the issues that i have described here, and more. I just would have like to be charged what the place was worth...which was not the price we paid for the condo. To date (I am writing this on 9/20/13) we have not heard back and I guess we probably won't. So, we won't use them again. It is really too bad that they won't make an adjustment because we like the group and had used them often. If an adjustment is made in what we paid, I will get back on and let everyone know that.
