If there is ever an issue with your roof, don't count on this roofers support. They did not pull permits on our home, and when hurricane Micheal hit this area and damaged our flat roof, the insurance company wouldn't replace our roof because there was no permit pulled in 2013 and it appeared our roof was the original roof from 1986. He wouldn't call the insurance company to sort things out, he would not prove there was a permit pulled. Because we chose to have our roof done by Jerry Roofing, we ended up having to pay over $31,000 to replace our own roof. Never returns calls either! Worse roofer ever!

Jerry delivered materials. Made excuses for 6 months, and never did the roof. Called someone else and paid them to do it. Jerry was quite rude, and seems to think everyone has to use him.

I paid Jerry Wilson's Roofing nearly $17,000 to install a new roof on my house 14 months ago. The roof came with a 15 year workmanship warranty. After the installation of the new roof, I had several leaks they fixed within a month of the install. Thirteen months later more leaks appeared. I called every day for 4 weeks; I left a lot of messages that went unanswered. The few times I was able to talk to someone, I was told they would send someone out the next day so I waited around all day and they didn't show up, this happened twice. They did finally show up and tried to fix it and didn’t. A week later they came out again and fixed the two leaks however, in the process they created two more leaks in different places. I am now trying to get them back out to fix the new leaks they created. After only a few days of calling this time they said they would be out the next day, again I waited around all day and they did not show up. For spending nearly 17k the quality and customer service is not what is expected. I am left with a new roof that leaks! When it rains, I have to go into the attic with buckets to minimize the damage this leaking roof is causing. I would not hire Jerry Wilson’s Roofing again, I would hire a company that can install a roof that doesn’t leak, one that values their customers enough to answer the messages left and show up when promised, and also one that stands behind their warranty.

They arrived at 7:30am in many trucks. Each team not their job to do. As they completed their job, they left the job was completed at 2 PM. This team were so professional. So good they worked on our roof! Replaced it. 15 yr. Non-pro rated workmanship warranty. Furnish wired mitigation for insurance company.

The quote was right in line with the other two quotes I received.  They showed up with big crew that knew what they were doing and were able to complete roof removal and replacement in a day and half.  They did a great job protecting the house, porch and plants from damage.  They did a good job cleaning up.  They brought my roof up to the insurance hurricane standards which will save me hundreds per year on homeowners insurance.   After replacement I did have one small leak around the chimney but they came out and quickly fixed it.  Overall great job by a professional company.  I would Absolutely use them again.

Justin came out and gave us a reasonable quote. We had three other companies provide us with a quote. While Jerry Wilson's Roofing was not the cheapest quote, their quote included replacement of boards and the other companies reserved the replacement of boards as an additional cost. We ended up having to replace 22 rotten boards; so although their quote did not look like the cheapest, in the end we paid less than we would have with other providers. The roof materials were delivered to our roof a few days before the project began. The two delivery men were professional and courteous. Jerry Wilson's Roofing Company showed up on time and in force. Several people (about a dozen or so) worked on our roof, so that they took off the old roof and rotten boards by mid-morning, and had the new roof completely on by the end of the afternoon. We have a rather large roof (around 2600 sqft), so I was impressed that they were able to complete the job in just one afternoon. I went up on the roof with the crew, and I never saw any one even try to take a short cut. Every person on the crew seemed highly qualified and professional. At the end of the day, they had a young man on "landscaping duty". He ensured all the debris was removed from our house and yard. I have not found one stray nail. The crew did an excellent job! Jerry Wilson's Roofing Company was professional, efficient, and worth every penny. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a roof.

The most professional roofers I have ever used. They replaced all the rotten wood. Very professional. Completed in a timely fashion. Provided wind litigation to inspect. Cleaned up everything. Very respectful of my property. More expensive than others but the level of service makes up for the cost.

I though he was awesome!  He was right there in price, as a matter of fact, he was actually less than most of the other estimates.  It's all good, all A's!  I would absolutely use Jerry Wilson again, if I needed to.

Overall, it went well and was happy with the outcome and potential insurance saving to be gained.
The large crew showed on time at 0700 and started straight away.  40-50% of the roof was stripped by 0900 when they took their morning break.  Upon returning from their break, they finished stripping the roof, sweeping the cleared areas and looked for damaged decking.  All damaged decking was replaced (inclusive of price) and they nailed the decking IAW Florida code.  Per the estimate they fixed all damaged areas of the roof decking and support structure.  1200 was the lunch break for almost an hour, but they returned with a determination to finish.  This well orchestrated crew, directed by the owner's brother, knew exactly what needed to be done and the order in which to accomplish it.  They were respectful the entire time they were on the property and treated my family and pets well.  In my opinion they went above code (which they knew quite well and explained it to me) to ensure I received the best product they offered.  They finished around 1700, but stuck around a bit longer to search/clean my yard around the house for a third time.

This roofer will not honor his own written 10-year workmanship guarantee. Jerry Wilson and his crew put a new roof on my home in December of 2008. In early May 2009 I personally spoke with Jerry about several loose shingles above my chimney cricket. He told me he would come out that week and make the repair, but he never showed up. It is now September; I have since made the repairs myself. I had several other problems with this roofer. During the week he was here on the job (1) I caught him bringing the wrong underlayment to the jobsite; i.e., a cheaper type that did not meet the "secondary water barrier" requirement as stated in our written agreement, (2) the crew forgot to install the 5th ridge vent, they just laid shingles over it assuming I would not notice, and (3) left me with a chimney that leaked; Jerry was not amused when he arrived for his final paycheck and saw a garden hose raining down onto my chimney. To be fair to Jerry, he did make good on the three above shortcomings, but he did so reluctantly and most likely because he wanted the remaining $10,000. The crew did a lousy job of cleaning up. The crew left hundreds of rusty nails in the grass that surrounds the house. Here is a photo that will stun you: http://swang.workwebsite.net/Home/Nails.jpg The crew did not clean out the rain gutters. I myself had to remove 4 gallons of shingle grit, old felt, rusty nails, and shingle snippets. In retrospect, Jerry and his crew took every shortcut they could. On a positive note, the crew worked fast and laid their shingles straight, but the crew only does what they are told with the materials they are handed. It is the work foreman (Tom Wilson) and Jerry himself that have the responsibility to get it all done right, and they did get a lot done right. However, the tasks they got wrong were very wrong and would still be wrong today had I not kept a sharp eye out. Luckily I was able to repair the loose shingles on my own because he has made it clear he has no interest in honoring his own written contract. If you don't know the first thing about a roof you would be wise to hire a house inspector to inspect his work before you pay him in full. Some good advice: Before you pay any roofer in full, get up onto the roof with a garden hose and water down the chimney (or skylights) for at least an hour. Water it down hard, leaks are ROUTINELY created in this business, especially among careless roofers. Then climb into the attic and inspect for leakage. A good roofer will inquire into your roof's history and will ask to look in the attic. He will install new flashing around chimneys & skylights. He will inspect the crew's work after completion to insure (1) every item in the contract has been fulfilled, (2) all ridge vents were installed, (3) gutters are cleaned, (4) long sharp rusty nails are removed from your lawn, and (5) he will cheerfully welcome a leak test. Jerry Wilson did none of these. In 2008 I put two new roofs onto two different houses by two different roofers. Both made written guarantees. After being paid in full, both roofers were later notified of workmanship shortcomings and both roofers failed to return to make repairs. Jerry Wilson was one of these roofers. If you must use him be sure he gets it right the first time, because it is my experience after he has been paid in full he is not coming back.

Latest work completed July 23, 2009. Very professional work, and a number of return visits to repair leaks and to correct roof vent issues. I was never charged a single dime for any of the return visits, or the added peak vent, to remove the peak vent, or to install the 2 new vents. After 5 years, they stood behind their work, and replaced a large portion of the shingles to repair the leak, to my satisfaction. I have recommended them to my family for their roofing needs.
