HARRIS TRAPPING

We had a raccoon take up residence in our attic. It was creating a mess as well as a lot of noise. After several phone calls to city, county and state we were given two names for trappers. Mr. Harris was one of them. He responded fairly quickly to my call and provided an estimate of $125 to trap and remove the animal, then check out the attic for damage and young ones and repair the means of ingress and egress in the soffit. He brought a trap out, baited it and showed me how to reset it. On the second night the raccoon entered the trap and was caught. The next day he came out with his 4 y.o. son to claim the animal and remove it. While here, he saw the animal was male so did not believe there would be young in the attic. As a result, he did not go up there to check for damage as he had previously promised. He did, however, get on the roof and partially repair the damage to the soffit, saying he would leave it partly open in case the caught animal was not the culprit or there was more than one. He assured me he'd be back in a couple days to complete the repair. I called him numerous times, sometimes actually getting an answer, assuring me he'd be back, though many of the calls were not answered. I left messages on his voice mail but did not receive a reply. He never came back. He had received his payment in full when he picked up the raccoon, but never completed the job. I had to get on the roof to do the repair myself after about two weeks of no response.
