The week of April 15, I spoke with Mike Gordon, of Gordon and Associates (at the recommendation of our Insurance Agent), and he said he'd come by our home to do a Wind Mitigation inspection + 4-Point home inspection. We own a home that is over 30 yrs old, and we needed to see a decrease in our homeowner's insurance premium. When Gordon called to set up a time to come over, he mentioned having to go to Destin, FL, first...but that he'd be over to our home right after he returned from "Osceola Drive." This roadway is a very uniquely named place, and just happens to be the last place my son's birth mother was ever seen alive (and her death was the subject of a rather sensitive, well-publicized event in this area). His mentioning of "Osceola Drive" was odd, and my son overheard it...and we were uncomfortable...but waited for Gordon to show up anyway. He didn't. We called him that evening, and the next day. He assured us he would come to our home the next day to do the inspections. He did not show up. I called him again, and I called our insurance agent. Gordon again returned my phone call, and assured me he would get in touch with me to do the inspection. He never showed up. Then I didn't hear from him again. I called around and priced some other inspection companies, and learned the going rate was actually $100 ($35 cheaper!). Just when I thought things couldn't get weirder, Gordon called around May 10 to say he'd been really, really ill. He was going to definitely come by our home and do our inspections. Yippee! Guess what? He never called back, and never showed. I even explained to him that his comments about going to "Osceola Drive" were a bit odd (an inspector on his/her way to "Elm Street" or "Main Street" in Destin wouldn't have said the name of their destination repeatedly). Gordon assured me he didn't mention the name of the street in a duplicitous manner. He also never sought to explain his lack of professionalism. What a flake. We ended up finding another inspector who charged less, showed up 15 minutes earlier than his appointment time, and did a terrific time. Stay away from Gordon and Associates.
Description of Work: Nothing. He said he would do a Wind Mitigation roof inspection and a 4-Point home inspection for our Homeowner's Insurance. However, he never showed up. MULTIPLE TIMES.

We feel very badly that there was a misunderstanding or miscommunication with this particular gentleman and his wife. We do strive to keep our appointments and to keep our customers informed and satisfied at all times. Unfortunately when covering a very large demographic area and large customer base there will be times where unforseen events can come in to play which can cause scheduling delays and/or conflicts beyond our control, as with any business. We are grateful for the numerous referrals that we continue to receive from homeowners, insurance agents, and realtors daily and for all customer input. We will use this input as we continue to work hard to ensure that we have our customers best interest in mind and we deeply regret that we should have even one dissatified customer.
