We found David "Dave" Wright on Angie's list and contracted him to paint our condo and redo our shower. He was unreliable for the work he contracted to do in one week that was supposed to start at the end of June. Here we are in September and the work is still incomplete. He did not arrive on time a single day and left me waiting with texts of times he still couldn't make. The workmanship of what was completed was poor quality. The grout in the shower has cracked. Dave guaranteed satisfaction and he said he would stand by his work. After multiple attempts to contact him, he just doesn't respond and won't fix the cracks in our shower grout rendering our only shower unusable. The bathroom walls that were supposed to "look like new" look like wallpaper was taken down and paint was put up because that's exactly what he did. It looks terrible. Do not waste your money. Our contract reads that he will finish the "punch list" of items he left undone, but he won't return our calls or texts. He told us to hang on to $300 so that he would guarantee returning to finish the work, but this is just a gimmick apparently.

The only good thing I can say about this contractor is his work is perfection! In the beginning he was very professional and gun-ho about the project. He came right over, took measurements, pictures, listened intently to what I wanted, offered suggestions and said he could do the job. He came back to me with a bid within a few days that was more than fair. We signed a contract for work to start on January 3, 2016 and to be completed in 13 business days. I found this time line to be kind of short, but he assured me he had the crew to meet that deadline. I was ecstatic! January 2 rolled around and I hadn't heard from him. I contacted him only to be told he had a family issue & wouldn't be able to start for another week. He never did start the job until February 3, 2017. Once he started, he had 3 guys with him and they worked very hard the first couple of weeks beginning at 9 am each morning & knocking off between 3:30 and 5pm each day. They accomplished quite a bit, but I knew it wasn't going to be completed in 13 days. I was ok with this as long as they showed up everyday and worked hard. (I need to mention they only worked 1 Monday the entire time they worked for me.) Then I started getting text messages that things had come up and they couldn't come to work for a day or two. Sometimes it was a week at a time they wouldn't show up for work. Of course he would text to give an excuse. Their work days became shorter. A lot of times his excuses seemed plausible as he has a young son and I have a very soft heart. It has been 3 months now since I have seen him. I spoke with him 2 weeks ago and was told his son just had surgery but he would be returning to work this week. I haven't heard from him or seen him. Obviously I'm hiring someone else to finish my job. It's so unfortunate this man is so irresponsible and unreliable because his work is wonderful. Based on work alone I would recommend him to anyone. But he's so unreliable I would never recommend anyone hiring him. I am frustrated beyond words right now. 6 months and I'm still working out of boxes in my kitchen!!!

Gave excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't return to finish (after 2 months)his"100%guarantee". Finally no- showed for the last time, and not returning messages. Extremely undependable. Will have to hire someone else to finish.

Owner is was a good leader and manager, as well as a craftsman. So was his right hand man, Victor. They were honest and trustworthy. The bathroom remodel was amazing.
