Scheduling appointment was smooth. Next day service was quick (45 mins) and technician was knowledgeable and courteous-- pretty easy job overall,; but total charge of $315 for service call and repair part seems pretty high considering the job was done in 45 mins and Heating element part on-line is only $20. I would use the company again, but press harder when making appointment for an estimate given the expected repair.

After calling a few service companies and receiving a visit by the first, a follow-up visit to make the repair was set. My wife received a call thinking it was the same company, set a time to be there for the repair. At the start of the inspection the Mr. Appliance tech asked about the problem, causing my wife to question why he didn't have the part. At that point the misunderstanding was realized between two different companies. At this point the Mr. Appliance tech, understanding the circumstances, demanded payment for a service call of $65. He called his boss to confirm the charge and stated he wasn't leaving unless he was paid. Some consideration would have been appreciated due to the misunderstanding, especially when we used the company previously and the tech did no work. NO consideration will be given to call Mr. Appliance again for any service at our residence.

I called them on Friday to schedule an appointment for my washing machine to be repaired. On Friday they said their next available spot was on Monday at 1pm to 3pm. I accepted that day/time. On Monday at 3:30pm nobody had shown up or contacted me. I called them again to confirm everything and see if they were still coming out. The lady tells me that someone called in and cancelled the appointment. I had NOT spoken to them since Friday when I scheduled it. So either someone goofed up there and never scheduled it, or they cancelled the wrong persons appointment. I'm not sure of the circumstance, however they are not able to come out now til next Friday. I declined that option and will go with another company.

"My understanding of this call is one spouse called it in another called and canceled I actually had that call in my route that day . Not exactly sure where the mixup was but we all are human. Very sorry for your inconvenience. Since then we have address that problem. We now do a verification call back to all numbers related to that call before the call is actually cancel. I found the washing machine would not spin. The water pumped  out, and the motor reacted (jumped) to the spin cycle command but would not spin. The wash cycle was good.
The tech arrived on time, was courteous, checked the washer out and said the transmission was bad (locked up and would not spin. This verified my own diagnosis although I did not mention it to him. He did not try to sell me another washer. He charged $55 ( I found that the price was listed as  $45 for the call on line in the Mr Appliance web site.) Since he did try several times and different ways to unlock the transmission, I did not make an issue of the discrepancy and I paid the $55.
Later, I went on-line and found the transmission alone would cost about $200 plus shipping. I also found that bearings and washers would probably have to be replaced (more cost) and that the job would take several hours and be labor intensive, so the repair estimate seems to be  realistic.

Presentable young man seemed to know what he was doing. He verified the washer would not spin. He tried several times to unlock the spin part of the transmission, but was not able.He suggested it was time to replace the nine-year-old washer. I requested an estimate to repair anyway. He went to his truck and several minutes later he returned with a written estimate of repair. I had already reached the same conclusion for repair and had priced the replacement part as $275 plus shipping. So the removal and replacement labor would have been a couple of hundred dollars for probably 3 or 4 hours of work plus unknown parts replacements (seals, nuts, etc.). The only problem I had was that the web page for the business had said the visit with estimate would be $45, not the $55 that was charged. I paid with a debit card.
