COVINGTON'S UPHOLSTERY

My husband was deployed to Tyndall Air Force base and I knew we would be moving to the Panama City area in the summer of 2013. Before actually getting to Panama City, I decided to start finding an upholstery shop located in the PC area so I could get some work done on a few pieces of furniture. I called Covington Upholstery and spoke with Jewell, and she was a delight to work with from the beginning. She was very professional, and it was clear from the start that she knows what she's doing! The decision to work with Covington Upholstery was an easy one to make!
I started with having a 9' sofa and 2 winged back chair recliners reupholstered. When I visited the shop, I mmediately noticed how everything was so clean and organized. The business is owned and managed solely by the Covington family, and everyone is very polite and pleasant to work with. They have been in business for decades, so there is a lot of tradition and experience that has been passed down through family members. I selected fabric from the collection of fabric books at the shop. Not only did Jewell pull some books for me that were in my price range, she mentioned a policy that she will guarantee the fabric if it's provided by one of their vendors. (I almost bought fabric from a fabric store in our previous home town. I am glad I waited to purchase fabric from Jewell's vendor because it was a better price value and the fabric was a superior quality.)
The sofa needed all new cushions built. They rebuilt cushions exactly the way I ordered them, and the upholstery work is exceptional! My sofa looks rich, brand new, and it's comfortable - thanks to the new cushions that were designed and built for it. The chairs look amazing, and the fabric is of excellent quality!
I liked the finished work and price so much that I returned to Covington Upholstery to have a total of 12 dining room chairs re-cushioned and reupholstered. Six of these chairs are formal dining room chairs that are
cushioned on the backs, as well as the seats. I selected a textured fabric with a stripe pattern for these chairs, which require more strategic planning to ensure the stripes and patters line up symmetrically. Jewell's family rebuilt the seats to the formal dining room chairs (they were old!) and lined up the fabric PERFECTLY! These chairs look amazing, and we are now enjoying a dining table that hasn't been used in years because of the work it needed.
I had another winged back chair that needed to be reupholstered and again, took it to Covington Upholstery. They did an amazing job and the chair has a new life! They pay attention to every detail!
Finally, my Mother-in-Law wanted some custom pillows for her sectional and brought her already purchased fabric to Covington. She is VERY pleased with the work, and appreciated the professionalism from everyone at the shop. They are knowledgeable, polite, and get the work done when they say it will be done!
I would recommend Covington Upholstery to anyone wanting superior work from an ethically strong family business. The Covington family are honest people, and they know the upholstery business!
