A1 Affordable Painting (Of Bay County LLC )

We contracted with this company long distance to paint the interior of our newly acquired home in Panama City. We gave him over 2 weeks and he assured us he could get it done in that timeframe. We asked him to purchase special paint so that it would only require one coat. The day we were to arrive in Panama City, he called and asked me to give him a credit card so he could charge more paint and finish the job. He said it wasn?t covering. We showed up 3 hours later and he was still finishing up painting and cleaning. There were cigarette butts on the ground outside and some paint spatters everywhere and the floors were not clean. He was using our garbage cans to throw out used paint etc. (He didn?t even cart away his own refuse.) I started mopping because the place was not clean, as he promised. We were expecting a moving truck so we took a quick look at what he did. After we paid him and he left, we found that the windows, doors were not sanded and primed properly and a few days after, they started peeling. The insides of the cabinets had spray paint in them and had to be washed out completely. The living room, which was not painted had a layer of sanded dust everywhere. He had removed all the striker plates and outlet plates and did not put them back on. We couldn?t even find them all. He left a little paint and we contacted Lowes to find out the brand of paint he charged to us and it was not what we ordered. All in all, he overcharged us for what he said he would do. We asked for the paint receipts and he said he didn?t keep them. He may try to deny what happened but we have had an email exchange with him which was not satisfactory . So to sum up; Our experience- - Paid for top of the line paint and didn't get it. - Didn't finish the job properly or on time. - Refused to provide receipts for paint. - Overcharged us for what he did do. We have email and leftover paint to prove it.
