I am not satisfied with the amount of time they take servicing the pool or the cosistancy in service. Our pool got mildewed and cloudy.

After getting estimates from a number of providers, we decided to go with Triangle Pool and the AquaCal pool/spa heat pump based on price, warranty and word-of-mouth recommendations. Triangle Pool had to remove the old, very large and heavy heat pump. They made sure they had adequate manpower to do so. They were very prompt and efficient in installation. After the unit was installed, they went over operations with us and answered questions.
Shortly after installation, it was apparent that we had a small leak in the PVC piping. The leak was noticed late on a Friday; repairs were made on Monday. Shortly after that, we thought we had another leak -- Triangle was very responsive to that call, but it was only condensation from the unit.
After about 4 months, the touchpad on the unit stopped working -- Triangle put us in touch with AquaCal, who replaced the touchpad right away (the culprit was a bad seal). Since replacement, the unit is working fine.
In all instances, Triangle was very responsive. Their service personnel are professional and courteous.

For years I had my pool serviced by a company that is, ironically, better rated on Angie's list than Triangle. About two years ago the regular pool guy was fired and a new guy started cleaning the pool. It was always touch and go after that. My parents lived in the house at the time. We were never really sure if he showed up some weeks; he would not leave workslips regularly though requested to do so. When my parents had to return north due to health issues, things really went down hill. The house is vacant most of the time although I visit once a month. The servicer knew this because we had to make new arrangements for mailings. etc. I would visit and it would look like the pool had not been cleaned for weeks. I called Triangle at the suggestion of a neighbor who has used them for some time. Mike came over and we discussed the situation. Things had gotten so bad I had to pay a $100.00 clean up fee to get things back on the right track. I did so. When I went down last week the pool looked better than it had in a couple years. I was there when the technician came by and we had a chat. I was impressed. It's early in the contract but so far so good. Based on what I have seen so far, I would highly recommend Triangle.

I used Triangle Pool Service for many years. Recently the services have been steadily declining. I started working from home and was able to see the short time they spent on the pool and witnessed them not doing many of the weekly tasks that I was paying for. When I confronted then on the quality of work or lack of they became very defensive. I gave them multiple opportunities to fix the issues, even calling and telling them I didn’t want to have to go through changing services, I just wanted them to do what I was paying them for. Week after week I was extremely disappointed in their lack of follow-through and basically taking short cuts and taking money for services they were not delivering. In dealing with the supervisor he was rude, and spoke very unprofessionally. In the past I also used them for repairs- they are expensive, charge just to walk on site even though I was a monthly pool customer. In comparing new supplies and equipment I have recently purchased from another company I found Triangle to be overpriced, and they provided equipment that was not good quality.

I did not enjoy this company AT ALL. I will admit that my dogs made it more difficult for them to do their job, but they did nothing to ease the situation by sending someone regularly. Further, I would notice that even if I took the dogs with me to work on a day they were supposed to come, the pool still would not get cleaned. The customer service was perfunctory and unpleasant. NOT recommended.

They did a very good job.

I was charged around $117 monthly. I started to notice this Spring that the pool looked worse and worse each week. I could hear a lot of bubbles in the water line indicating that the filter was not being cleaned thoroughly, they did not empty the leaf catcher unless it was overflowing, and several times they left the water running when adding water to the pool. I contacted them twice and each time the woman at the office told me that a supervisor would call. I never got a call. Eventually, I had another company come and look at the pool and they told me that the funny color I was seeing was caused by yellow algae. I hired this company and terminated Triangle. Within two weeks the pool looked great! There are a lot less bubbles in the water line and they have never left the garden hose running. I sent in my last check to Triangle with details of why I had cancelled and told them that since the service was so poor that I did not feel that I should have to pay the latest bill, since they gave me such poor service. I also had to pay extra to the new company to get rid of the yellow algae in the pool. I asked them to delete my account balance and return my check to me. I did this to see if they were reputable and would acknowledge my poor service. THEY CASHED THE CHECK.

I fired them because they did a terrible job cleaning the pool. Their help was not consistent.

They are professional and prompt. The weekly service is done at the same time and day every week and the repairs were carried out in a timely manner.

These folks helped us solve a persistent problem. Since we retired a few years ago, we have been spending Summers up North and have had to rely on a service company to take care of our pool. Three years running, we have had major spills because the fill water had been left on until a neighbor noticed it. The last straw with our old pool company came a year ago, when the serviceman apparently brought in a pool sweep, connected it to our booster pump (which I had disconnected), then removed the "off" switch and turned it on to run continuously. Judging from our electric bill. The pump ran most of July before it burned out. After Triangle took over the maintenance, we got another of those annual calls informing us of another multi-thousand gallon water spill. Steve went to the house, talked to some neighbors and identified the likely cause of the frequent spills. He set us up with an automatic fill device at a reasonable price which should end the problem.

Scott, a representative of Triangle Pool Service, came to our home on time on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, and identified three main problems and began working. For an hour and a half he fixed leaks, which the other company, Professional Pools, never found, replaced PVC, and made other adjustments explaining what he was doing along the way. He took part of our Polaris cleaning system and told us it would be fixed and returned by Thursday, September 28th and it was. The cost was one-fourth of Professional pools quote, and they had not identified the leak problem. We've recently moved into our 55-year old home and many repairmen have been in and out of our doors the last three months, but none have been as efficient, informative or as competent as Scott. My wife and I will recommend Triangle Pools to our neighbors and friends, and we want you to know that it is refreshing to work with a company that has skill, knowledge and most of all, integrity.

Serviceman was punctual and did a professional job.

THE BILLING WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND BECAUSE IT WAS TIME CONSUMING TO SORT THROUGH IT.7 THE GIRL'S DEMEANOR WAS VERY DIFFICULT. THEIR PRICE STARTED TO GET HIGHER, AND THEIR QUOTE WAS NOT AS HIGH AS THEY WERE CHARGING ME.

I called the company and told them what happened to my skimmer. There was a long pause on the phone (I knew they were trying to keep from laughing, and I couldn't blame them), they came right out and cut out the skimmer, put in new one and matched our deck pattern. They were great- very professional and knowledgeable. They did a fabulous job. They had a great sense of humor and told me not to purchase any more pool candles. We all laughed. Who would have thought you could catch a pool on fire? We also used them for our other home. They helped us figure out the spa system and how it worked. I won't use anyone else. They always return your calls, and they keep their appointments.

THEY ORIGINALLY QUOTED A PRICE OF $75/HOUR TO VACUUM THE POOL WHICH I THOUGHT WAS REASONABLE. I THEN INQUIRED ABOUT MONTHLY SERVICE AND THE REPRESENTATIVE SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO GET BACK TO ME. THEY THEN CONTACTED ME AND SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT TAKE ON THE JOB WITHOUT AN EXPLANATION. WHEN I INQUIRED ABOUT THIS, THEY SIMPLY TOLD ME, "THAT IS WHAT THE MANAGER SAID."

JEFF WAS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE, PROFESSIONAL, AND PATIENT. HE SLOWLY EXPLAINED EACH LEVER AND BUTTON WHILE I WROTE IT ALL DOWN ON A NOTEPAD. HE GOT THE PREVIOUSLY INOPERABLE SPA RUNNING AND REPLACED THE NOZZLES FOR MAXIMUM EFFECTIVENESS. THE PEBBLE-SHEEN SURFACE OF THE POOL HAD SOME TYPE OF STAINING - HE RECOMMENDED TESTING AN AREA WITH ACID TO SEE HOW EFFECTIVE IT WOULD BE. IT DIDN'T HELP MUCH. HE APOLOGIZED FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO HELP US AND ADVISED US THAT IT WOULDN'T BE WORTH IT TO DRAIN THE POOL AND SCRUB WITH ACID AS WE'D PLANNED TO DO ORIGINALLY.(UNFORTUNATELY, IT NEEDS TO BE RESURFACED) I FOUND HIM TO BE VERY CONSCIENTIOUS AND HE WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT SERVICE. HE EVEN LABELED ALL THE PIPES AND LEVERS FOR US.
