Needed custom automatic gate installed across driveway. Sam provided written professional estimate via email after showing up on time for the estimate appt. He had the aluminum frame built by a welder and then installed it on my already built fence with custom hinges. His team installed the automatic arms, control box, and exterior keypad. He provided 3 remote controls to open the gate. He programmed multiple access codes into the exterior keypad for family and contractors to use. I added the wood fence panels to the exterior of the steel frame to finish the gate since I am in the process of building my fence. He likely would have done that as well, but I was able to do it myself to save a little on cost. Overall, I would highly recommend him again. Very professional and very responsive.

Samuel Stewart installed a gate operator on the driveway gate at my home in a manner that was contrary to the manufacturer's instructions, resulting in $743.65 in damage to the gate. The gate operator manufacturer instructions require that the gate operator be attached to a horizontal bar that is welded to the entire width of the gate so that no one part of the gate is stressed by the gate operator's opening and closing of the gate. The instructions specifically warn that, if the gate operator is attached to just a few gate pickets, those pickets will bend and break. Despite those clear instructions and warnings, that is exactly how Mr. Stewart installed the gate operator. As the manufacturer instructions predicted, the gate pickets to which he attached the gate operator bent over time and finally broke, preventing the gate operator from working properly. I asked Mr. Stewart to repair the damage and properly install the gate operator, but he refused to do so. As a result, I had to pay another contractor to repair the damage to the gate caused by Mr. Stewart's improper installation of the gate operator, and to then install the gate operator as it should have been installed by Mr. Stewart in the first place.
