POOL & SPA DEPOT

We only used pool and spa depot for about a month.  In that month they became the most expensive pool service we've ever had.  they were normal with things at first.  We had to have some of our filters replaced but that was ok, they did it and it seemed a little expensive but the pool looked good.  Two weeks later they said that the filters were bad again.  They disassembled everything and left it for the weekend.  That saturday we were planning on having people over so we called up pool and spa depot.  they understood the situation and were going to come out on saturday morning and put everything back together.  We also talked about how the price of things was starting to add up and RIck (the owner) understood.  Saturday moring came and Rick got everything fixed and good.  Everyone was happy.  Rick decided to be paid $76/hr. and never warned us of his raise.  He then, without my permission pulled out $300 from my account.  I had a HUGE problem with this and immediately called Rick.  Rick understood and said it wouldn't happen again.  THAT TUESDAY HE PULLED MONEY AGAIN!!!  I called Rick up again and he said he would return me the money.  He never did.  My bank is currently fileling to get my money back from him.  I never want to deal with these people again!

Highly recommend them. When we have an issue, they come over immediately. He fixed our pool pump.

Rick was running late and called to inform me he was running late. Upon arrival he quickly went to work and found several problems with air leaks in my pump assembly. He replaced both the intake and outflow couplings and also found a small hairline crack in the plastic pump basket cover. He advised me to purchase a new cover and a new gasket. After he completed his work I went out and purchased and replaced the parts Rick had told me I needed. The pump is now is back to normal and easily runs my pool cleaner once again.

The spa jets were not working. We got an immediate response to our call, with someone at our house within 2 days of the service call. The original problem was fixed within minutes, a motor leak was discovered which would have eventually burned out our motor; this repair was delayed by a day due to the need for getting a part. Everything was fixed quickly and efficiently with little impact on us, except for getting our spa back into working order.

It went very well. Richard was here for a short time and checked everything to ensure nothing major had occurred. He advised that we should replace our "O" ring.

Mr. La Macchia kept his appointment on time. Gave us an estimate and time to reflect. After contract was signed the work was done in the time specified. He arranged for electrical work that had to be done. He supervised the whole operation. He left after making sure I knew the workings of both mechanisms. Of course, he told me if I needed further assistance to call. I was very satisfied with the work and the outcome. We have been enjoying the pool during the cool weather. I would highly recommend the company.

I had a pool orientation when we bought our new house a few weeks ago, but I needed a refresher course. The original place never called me back when I tried them again, so I found Pool & Spa Depot on Angie's List. Rick gave a very thorough orientation and went into much more helpful detail than my first attempt. He even took a sharpie to all of the pump equipment to mark the positions for where I needed to do things. Rick and I had some scheduling issues on the first try that resulted in having to change the day, but overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend him.

The representative explained all our alternatives, and when we chose them to do the work they were prompt and did a good job.

I felt comfortable with Rick servicing our spa equipment while we were gone. He asked for no money up front, completed the project and left us a bill. I will call Pool and Spa Depot for all our spa needs from now on.

FABULOUS SERVICE when I was desperate to get the pool filter and heater up and running before the storms (so I could drain any overflow) and Labor Day guests' arrival. Do not bother calling anyone else, as this is the guy who actually responds in a timely manner and gets the work done. Thank you Rick.

Rick did a great job, not only replacing the broken components but also explaining how to use and maintain the spa. As a new spa owner, I had a lot of questions, and he answered them all without making me feel at any time I was asking a 'dumb question'. He showed a lot of patience with all my questions. He provided (as part of the fee) all the chemicals needed to maintain the spa and some equipment to help keep it clean. He spent many hours getting what we did have to work and then replaced what needed replacing. Additionally, he was very quick to return calls I had with questions on spa maintenance after the work was complete. He quickly responded to our first call for service and kept me well informed of his plans for his next visit etc. I was extremely happy with his service and hope to continue our relationship.

RICK CAME WHEN HE PROMISED AND FIXED THE PROBLEM AS REQUESTED. HE PATIENTLY REVIEWED WHAT ALL THE PIPES AND LEVERS TO. HE ALSO GAVE ME SUGGESTIONS ON GETTING OUR SPA HEATER BACK IN WORKING CONDITION.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS OF THIS SERVICE CALL. I HAD BEEN USING TWO OTHER POOL COMPANIES, BUT I NEVER DID FEEL LIKE THEY CARED ABOUT MY SITUATION. I CALLED POOL & SPA, AND RICK WAS OUT WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS. HE WAS VERY PATIENT WITH ME AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THAT NEEDED REPAIRED, AND ALSO PUT ME THROUGH POOL SCHOOL. I APPRECIATED THE WAY I WAS TREATED AND LIKE I HAVE SAID BEFORE, THE BIGGER COMPANIES SEEM TO FORGET ABOUT THE CUSTOMER, NOT POOL & SPA DEPOT.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS VERY POSITIVE. APPOINTMENT TIMES WERE MET, THE WORK WAS EXCELLENT AND RICK WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL.

RICK WAS VERY HELPFUL IN EXPLAINING THE WORK NEEDED. WHEN THERE WAS A DELAY IN RECEIVING THE PART NEEDED HE KEPT US INFORMED AND INSTALLED THE PART AS SOON AS IT WAS AVAILABLE. HE ALSO SHOWED US AREAS THAT MAY NEED WORK IN THE FUTURE, BUT DID NOT TRY TO PRESSURE US INTO WORK THAT WAS NOT IMMEDIATELY NEEDED.

They were just wonderful from beginning to end! The sales rep helped me right away to calm down and was very patient in explaining how to handle the situation. The technician that came out was extremely helpful and was willing to go the extra mile with no hesitation.
