"Thank you [Member Name Removed]. It was a pleasure working with you!"
We used our own installer and when she saw his work, she started using him too.
"Thank you for the kind words, [Member Name Removed]. You were a pleasure to work with. Having done several kitchens in the past, you knew exactly what you wanted. Your home turned out absolutely beautiful! Thank you."
"Thank you for your review, [Member Name Removed]. Your kitchen turned out absolutely beautiful! I know there was a little snag with the one portion of the wall that was not able to be measure accurately until the cabinets were removed, but very happy that Kim was creative and able to give you a little wine nook! Enjoy your beautiful kitchen."
This was just a small job and unfortunately a GC we normally use for such was not available to do the tear out and install so we went with one of their guys. Overall the project Looks AWESOME however the GC they sent out to do the tear out and install did not get some of the work measured right and we did have an install issue when the counter installers arrived. The counter people did a great job of trying to compensate for the bad measure job but the measurements were off so much that too many Shims would actually jeopardize the stability of the counter. So we had to put a call for help out at this point.
Keep in mind this was for a small job and the installer showed up late to do the job so we really feel like he rushed through it and things would have been different if that hadn't happened. Kim and Cheryl were very quick to respond to our concerns and offer to send the GC back out to fix / finish the work. We decided to not take them up on that offer as we just felt like he should have done it right the first time.... and we found out our guy was now available. Cheryl did offer us a small discount so that we could hire our own GC to fix what needs to be tweaked and we felt like that was fair.
Overall though I think a larger job would not have had the same issues and they were great ladies to work with!
"[Member Name Removed], thank you for your review. You are correct that sometimes the smaller jobs are more difficult to find a good installer for. I apologize for this and am glad that we were able to come to an agreement. You have the best looking laundry room in town! Thanks."
"Thanks so much, . You were a pleasure to work with and it is always so fun to do a kitchen where I LOVE the cabinet and counter top selection! Your choices are beautiful."
"Thank you for your kind words. You and your wife are a pleasure to work with!"
When the cabinets came in, she was very willing to replace any portions that were not up to par, and was very quick to get the work done in a timely manner. As it turns out, the workers were not her own, but the original general contractors installing the cabinets and a separate Stone working contractor she hired to perform the granite installation.
Other than not being included in things like faucet location for the sink, I was impressed with her choice of counter-top installation contractor. Are there things I would have done differently? Yes, but is hind-sight 20/20? Oh yes. Over all the installation went of without a hitch and I am very pleased with my new kitchen and bathroom.
I will be hiring her to install the upstairs master bathroom vanity in the future.
"Thank you for the review. It is so nice to see your home back to normal after the water damage. You knew what you wanted and that makes things go much smoother. I know it was difficult since you were out of the country part of the time. Thanks for your patience with working out the little issues that inevitably come up."
As we reviewed each of the mistakes that were made, the owner made excuses and tried to and quot;selland quot; us that no one will notice and this is normal. Many items were not agreed upon and not once did this company ever take accountability and offer to fix anything at their cost. The end result is that we have contracted another kitchen company who uses the same cabinet manufacturer to fix many of the finishing items and we realize that Personal Touch Kitchens does not know kitchen design or their product.
"Good communication is the key to customer satisfaction. This customer had a definite opinion on style and color of the cabinets, but did not request things like all plywood construction, which I could have easily added. She was very distracted at each meeting, and at the final measure where I explained, cabinet by cabinet, what was included in the price, she made no changes. She wanted butt doors on two cabinets where the manufacturer did not offer them on the necessary size, after the cabinets were installed. She was shown the crown molding customarily used with her cabinet selection, and then wanted to change the molding after it was installed. She did not like the light bar molding the manufacturer offered and we came up with a solution using another molding. It was installed according to common practice and her husband was present during installation. She made several changes after the order was placed, and we had to work around the flooring schedule that was backordered and delayed. After each phase of installation, she wanted to make changes. Personal Touch Kitchens does not build in exorbitant profits to cover people who change their mind after the cabinets are installed. We charge a fair price for what is ordered, and if someone wants to make changes or additions, they are charged for those changes"
"Thank you. You selected a nice cabinet and beautiful granite. It was a pleasure working with you on your project."
