After looking into several options, we decided to go with Cheryl at Personal Touch Kitchens for a few reasons. Cheryl was fantastic from the start. She brought many options to the table, had great ideas for our complicated layout, was easily available especially when trying to squeeze into a special offer from the manufacturer last minute, and ensured every last detail of our kitchen remodel went as smooth as possible. Cheryl was fantastic to work with, and the price was right for our budget. Would definitely recommend, and would gladly work with her again.

I received quotes from many companies and decided to go with Personal Touch Kitchens because Cheryl (owner) was very responsive and gave us the best overall design.  The kitchen came out very well and I have nothing but great things to say about Cheryl efforts to make sure we were happy.  We ran into some snags and she took care of making sure some damaged items were replaced.  We also worked with her on the stone counters.  She helped us get another counter when our original choice was on back order.  We are very pleased.
We used our own installer and when she saw his work, she started using him too.

"Thank you for your review, [Member Name Removed]. Your kitchen turned out absolutely beautiful! I know there was a little snag with the one portion of the wall that was not able to be measure accurately until the cabinets were removed, but very happy that Kim was creative and able to give you a little wine nook! Enjoy your beautiful kitchen."

Cheryl and Kim are a delight to work with!  They are just as "into" the fixtures and finishes you pick as you are and just as excited about your project.  They are very helpful and quick with pricing. This started out as a way for me to order 4 new custom doors for my kitchen but since they were so responsive I decided to let them update our icky laundry room!
This was just a small job and unfortunately a GC we normally use for such was not available to do the tear out and install so we went with one of their guys.  Overall the project Looks AWESOME however the GC they sent out to do the tear out and install did not get some of the work measured right and we did have an install issue when the counter  installers arrived. The counter people did a great job of trying to compensate for the bad measure job but the measurements were off so much that too many Shims would actually jeopardize the stability of the counter.  So we had to put a call for help  out at this point.
Keep in mind this was for a small job and the installer showed up late to do the job so we really feel like he rushed through it and things would have been different if that hadn't happened.  Kim and Cheryl were very quick to respond to our concerns and offer to send the GC back out to fix / finish the work.  We decided to not take them up on that offer as we just felt like he should have done it right the first time.... and we found out our guy was now available.   Cheryl did offer us a small discount so that we could hire our own GC to fix what needs to be tweaked and we felt like that was fair.
Overall though I think a larger job would not have had the same issues and they were great ladies to work with!

"[Member Name Removed], thank you for your review. You are correct that sometimes the smaller jobs are more difficult to find a good installer for. I apologize for this and am glad that we were able to come to an agreement. You have the best looking laundry room in town! Thanks."

Very easy transaction. We walked in and let Cheryl know what we wanted and what we could pay. She showed us different types of vanities that work within the space we had. We were happy and ordered that day. We've been able to call her at a moments notice and get information that we needed when trying to get the granite for the top of the vanity. Overall, we were happy at the easy of this transaction and will be using her when we are able to update our master bath.

I was referred to Personal Touch Kitchens by the general contractor that was repairing the rest of my house. Cheryl the owner came to my house to discuss the particulars of the kitchen design with me. She was not pushy, nor did she come in with preconceived ideas and try to over-ride my own. She was very open to my ideas and very quickly came back with a design that worked well for the space we had.
When the cabinets came in, she was very willing to replace any portions that were not up to par, and was very quick to get the work done in a timely manner. As it turns out, the workers were not her own, but the original general contractors installing the cabinets and a separate Stone working contractor she hired to perform the granite installation.
Other than not being included in things like faucet location for the sink, I was impressed with her choice of counter-top installation contractor. Are there things I would have done differently? Yes, but is hind-sight 20/20? Oh yes. Over all the installation went of without a hitch and I am very pleased with my new kitchen and bathroom.
I will be hiring her to install the upstairs master bathroom vanity in the future.

"Thank you for the review. It is so nice to see your home back to normal after the water damage. You knew what you wanted and that makes things go much smoother. I know it was difficult since you were out of the country part of the time. Thanks for your patience with working out the little issues that inevitably come up."

To begin the project, we used this company's recommendation for a demo and drywall guy. He was terrible! His work was sloppy and he left a huge mess. We didn't expect a perfect match, but his attempt to blend the ceiling texture was ridiculous, and ultimately we had to have the work redone. Once the cabinets were installed we noticed that the door style we specifically requested was not consistent, the crown moulding was not what we expected and that the All Wood cabinets we requested were part particle board. The unfinished wood/particle board was apparent under the cabinets and we requested a solution. PTK recommended a light rail at additional cost and they installed it incorrectly.

As we reviewed each of the mistakes that were made, the owner made excuses and tried to and quot;selland quot; us that no one will notice and this is normal. Many items were not agreed upon and not once did this company ever take accountability and offer to fix anything at their cost. The end result is that we have contracted another kitchen company who uses the same cabinet manufacturer to fix many of the finishing items and we realize that Personal Touch Kitchens does not know kitchen design or their product.
Response from Personal Touch Kitchens
"Good communication is the key to customer satisfaction. This customer had a definite opinion on style and color of the cabinets, but did not request things like all plywood construction, which I could have easily added. She was very distracted at each meeting, and at the final measure where I explained, cabinet by cabinet, what was included in the price, she made no changes. She wanted butt doors on two cabinets where the manufacturer did not offer them on the necessary size, after the cabinets were installed. She was shown the crown molding customarily used with her cabinet selection, and then wanted to change the molding after it was installed. She did not like the light bar molding the manufacturer offered and we came up with a solution using another molding. It was installed according to common practice and her husband was present during installation. She made several changes after the order was placed, and we had to work around the flooring schedule that was backordered and delayed. After each phase of installation, she wanted to make changes. Personal Touch Kitchens does not build in exorbitant profits to cover people who change their mind after the cabinets are installed. We charge a fair price for what is ordered, and if someone wants to make changes or additions, they are charged for those changes"

They were very thorough before starting the job and checked things out. Advise to other members We received quotes from others that used contractors and they all seemed to mark everything up. Personal Touch Kitchens had subcontractors for all aspects of the job and they let us pay them directly so we knew they were not making a profits on someone else’s work. They did, however, coordinate everything (drywall guy, electrician, plumber, cabinet installers) and made it very easy. It wasn't necessary to hire a general contractor for double the money. They're going to do my bathrooms next!
