The team installed the roof and as far as the roof goes the quality is fine. The issue is that you can not get a return call for issues. We had a dryer that needed to be replaced and when we were scheduling a cleaning of the vent duct that runs through the roof, we noticed that they had damaged the vent duct and that dryer lint was blowing into our attic (fire hazard). We had to clean up the build up of lint and when we got to the roof vent the contractor installed a mesh vent that is not acceptable per code. This was causing the vent to blow in the attic. I called three times in Dec, sent and email and provided photo texts to the No1 representative. I have still not received a call back to repair and they have not provided any response. I keep being told that the owner will respond and have had nothing but radio silence for the past month. If we wouldn't have lost the dryer(which could be caused by the clogged vent release) we never would have known there was an issue. The roof work was completed and the actual craftsmanship is not the reason for the negative review. The issue is that they damaged something, installed the wrong vent cap, and refuse to call back to handle their damage.

I contacted No1 Home Roofing after storm ETA. My roof was leaking pretty bad afterwards. I am not in the financial position to have a full roof installation right now. They came the next day after I called and gave me and estimate. The following week the crew came out and conducted the repair. The crew was respectful of my home and did the job in a timely manner. I wanted to wait until a decent rain before leaving a review, but I am happy to say that after last weeks there was no leak. I will be using them when I am ready to replace my roof.

They concealed some old rotten wood on facia . 2 separate sites ! One on front of house , one in rear . Squirrel was able to chew & get in attic. Idiot owner Chris (palm Harbor location ) denied ! Refused to work out a solution . Arrogant & Rude , he would not acknowledge his shoddy work ! Do NOT hire this company ! Poor quality . Seriously unconscionable to put new roof on a rotten board & conceal ! I have built 3 homes before and helped my father build 3 . I’m no dummy . This is a house I purchased less than 2 years ago - I paid 1/2 of roof , seller paid 1//2 . Thus lunatic said I wasn’t his costumer - Really ! I went to their location in Palm Harbor & paid them ! I have proof ! I also have some pretty damning pictures of their disgusting work ! He’s a nasty man , criminal

"I am very sorry that you are not satisfied with the work that was done on your home. The crew replaces every piece of rotted wood that is there, unfortunately sometimes a piece can be missed if it is in a difficult place on the roof. The owner was trying to say that the roof was purchased through a different homeowner and for the warranty to transfer the warranty transfer fee must be paid. The receipt that you have was from a small repair on a completely different home. Again, we do apologize for any and all inconvenience that may have taken place."

From the start this company was upfront and honest. They gave me an excellent quote and provided me with a quality roof. Reasonable and efficient. Their product was the SAME as other 'big name' companies and less expensive with great QUALITY!

I loved them, they didn't charge any extra for the nice shingles where as the other quotes i got everyone wanted more money, they were here for about a day and a half, I had 2 different shingles on the roof so it cost a little more and I knew that I had a lot of rotten wood under it and they called me to let me know but it really didn't cost as much as i thought it would. I highly recommend them

They were amazing -- tore off the old shingles and replaced in ONE DAY for a fairly large home. I would not hesitate to hire them again. The roof looks great and we have not had a single leak or other problem.

WE CALLED SEVERAL CONTRACTORS FOR COST ESTIMATES. NO. 1 ROOFING WAS REFERRED BY A FRIEND. WE HIRED NO. 1 ROOFING. WHILE THEIR QUOTE WAS NOT THE LOWEST, WE SELECTED THEM FOR THE JOB. WE HAD A "BLUE TARP" ON OUR ROOF WHICH THEY REMOVED AND RE-NAILED AT OUR REQUEST. DUE TO THE RECORD BREAKING RAINFALL WE WAITED UNTIL THEY WERE ABLE TO GET TO OUR JOB. WE WERE IN NO MAJOR RUSH SINCE OUR ROOF WAS COVERED WITH A TARP. NO. 1 REPLACED OUR ENTIRE ROOF AND REPLACED 7 SKYLIGHTS IN A DAY AND A HALF. OUR ROOF IS IN EXCESS OF 3,000 SQUARE FEET. THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB. OUR ROOF LOOKS FABULOUS. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL; EASY TO GET A HOLD OF AND COMMUNICATE WITH. THEY ALSO DID A NEAT JOB CLEANING UP ALL DEBRIS. WE ARE ALSO SATISFIED WITH THE JOB DONE AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. WHILE WE HOPE IT WON'T BE NECESSARY, WE WOULD USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

It took nearly 2 months to get project started, during our initial visit to sign documents I asked to be contacted prior to any repairs made that may exceed $200. The office representative agreed and stated that would not be a problem. I was promised a start date that was changed, but was never notified. I made two subsequent calls to try and get an idea of when as weeks were going by at this point. My wife was home on the day the workers arrive and I stopped by my home of four separate occasions, my point is there was a homeowner available at all times and if there were damages or issues that needed to be address that could have been done. What did occur was a phone call from the A1 Office's informing me AFTER the fact that they had found and repaired $900 of wood damage. I arrived at my home within 10 minutes of that phone call to find that all repairs had been done, peel and stick underlayment had been laid and covered, and any signs of the 10 pieces of plywood that were replaced were no longer visible. We have no proof that was done, when I tried to communicate with the workers to ask questions I was greeted with shrug shoulders and looks of confusion because no one spoke English. I was unable to ask any questions and could not express any of my concerns with the process. I attempted to bring these concerns up with your office representative when I went to pay the invoice and her only concern was collecting the check. It did not seem to be a problem that with a crew of 6 plus people no one could communicate with me the customer. i.e. "that's the crew that we have in Tampa". I also brought to her attention that several areas are raised and was told that after 2-3 months they should level out - not sure what that means. Lastly, customer service is one of the most important aspects of business and when your spending thousand of dollars on a roof you would expect a better way to address and communicate any issues that may arise.

With all the rain we were having all summer, it made it almost impossible to keep the schedule the same, which is why we always say weather permitting with the time frames. Unfortunately, the rain plays a big part in our scheduling. With the wood replacement, we are required to change any rotted wood we come across and we always make sure to take pictures to show the wood replacement areas. I looked at your file and there was no note to where we needed to notify you of any wood over $200, but I do want to assure you that we called [Member Name Removed] as soon as we got word of the amount replaced so you weren't left out of the loop. I can definitely send you all the pictures we have, since the crew had already applied the underlayment before you were able to get home. We take pride in our company and definitely do not want you to have a negative impression on us. Please contact our office so we can further discuss this and see if we cant get this all cleared up. I called around a bunch of companies to have my roof replaced. No 1 Home Roofing came out and gave me an estimate as well as the other companies. They were the best listed price so we decided to use them. They initially said it could be up to two weeks before we would be scheduled, which was completely fine because we were not in a rush. However, they were able to get our roof done that week! They replaced our roof in a matter of days and in the end it looks absolutely fantastic. They are very professional and easy to get ahold of. With the record breaking rainfall this season, we noticed a small area where there is a leak. I emailed and they sent people out the very next day to fix the spot. Overall I am very satisfied with this company. I would use them again in the future and I love that they are easy to get ahold of and they stand behind their work.

I HIGHLY recommend No. 1 Home Roofing. I found the owner, Kris to be a very honest and direct-no bull- type of person....which was greatly appreciated. I am a highly discerning person, with a touch of champagne taste...I was a just a little nervous with going with the lowest bid, but honestly I am so THRILLED that I did. They were very efficient in all of their processes and performed high quality work. I interviewed 11 roofers from the northern pinellas area in total, and will only use No. 1 Home Roofing from now on. THANK YOU!!

They did a good job on the roof but they didn't do everything completely right. For example there was some old wood on the roof that they re-used that they should not have used. We were also having some problems with leaking around our chimney and apparently there was some rot around that area that they did not report to us. We had do have another company come out to fix the problems with the chimney. It was the stone-maker that pointed out that there were some problems with the roof so we had another company come in and look at it and that was who told us about the rot. No 1 Home Roofing Inc does not want to fix it so we are going to have to bring in another company to fix the work. Even if they found the problem and couldn't fix it they should have at least told us about it. The staff in the office were outstanding and the sales team was very good.

To respond to the complaint about the chimney there was no visible wood rot (and we have the Pics to show) on the decking and was leaking behind the chimney stone and was impossible for us to see it from our view. We did not enter the attic and is not in our scope of work to enter the attic, that was the only place you could see the wood rot. We are very sorry that we did not make you 100% happy as we strive to make everyone 100% happy as well as doing an excellent job on every roof."

The actual workers on the job site who did the work, were great. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very customer oriented. Any question I asked, they were responsive. I did ask for them to come back the second day for a few clean up items and they did with no questions asked.
The reason I rated some of the services with a B is because of the office staff. I found one person in the office to be rude and abrupt. The day I went to sign my contract, as I was walking in the door, this office person was walking out to smoke a cigarette. She left me standing waiting while she smoked her cigarette. She told me they would call by the end of the week with a tentative start date. I received no call. I called the following week and she gave me a date and told me they would call the night before. I didn't get a call the night before so I called the office. This same person told me she didn't know where I got that date from and who gave me that date. I looked at my notes and realized I was talking to the person who had given me that date. She didn't know what to say when I told her it was her name in my notes. The other person in the office was friendly and helpful. When they gave me a second tentative date, this other girl called and asked to move it up one day. She couldn't have been any nicer. I also dealt with her when I paid my bill and received the same good customer service.

The crew arrived on time and start to remove the two layers of on roof. A heavy rain storm come as the crew were removing the old shingles and laying down the peel and stick felt. I did get get some water damage on the ceiling of my Florida room. I reported the problem and they sent a repair specialist out, within a few days. The repairs were made to the ceiling.
