We liked the look of the neighbors shutters and they gave us the information for Mike's company, McMullen Window Coverings. Mike is the salesman, estimator, deliveryman, and the installer. This is a big, big, big advantage when dealing with custom made products such as window treatments because in a one person operation there is a far less chance of a mixup or an error when you are dealing with the boss from start to finish. Mike presented us with different options as far as shutter appearance, depth and framing. We designed the shutters with Mike's help.  He is not pushy, he presents you with different options, and suggestions but leaves the final decision up to the customer. He is very thorough, takes great care to get everything right the first time. He is upfront with how long the lead time will be. In our case, it took exactly 3 weeks from ordering to installation. We ordered 4 shutters; 2 double windows, 1 standard window and 1 shutter to go over a full length glass panel door. The installation took approximately half a day.  Mike works very neatly, laying dropcloths and cleaning as he goes.  He sealed all of the gaps with caulk and made sure everything was right before leaving.  There were absolutely no issues with the installation, everything fit perfectly and looks great.  This was a great experience, Mike handled everything from start to finish, only thing I had to do was remove the old blinds and shades before he arrived. Mike's pricing is extremely competitive compared to any of the local box stores. We were so satisfied with this project that we also ordered a shutter to cover the sliding patio doors to the lanai so that we will have a uniform look throughout. Absolutely would highly recommend this company.
