Home Building
Process started out alright but declined over process of building house. Contractor would not communicate except by text or email.Contractor does not answer his phone Never met me for a final walk through. I never saw the builder in the last 4 months of the process. Could not get punch list completed to satisfaction. Left unfinished work and some things very sloppy .I had to hire someone to complete the work. ( None of the windows were caulked, no window sill in one room and a broken one in another - marble sills ) Stucco , paint and adhesive blobs left all over walkway and on stone columns in front of house. Attic access from garage had sloppy trim that was held together by caulk- had to have rebuilt . Seven subcontractors contacted me during the process requesting help getting their money and the real estate person also contacted me throughout the process to get help getting his payment. Have had occupancy permit since 06/30/10 and two subcontractors still are not paid as of 10/01/10. They were given checks by the Jaygee (John Geiger )development that bounced . As a result these sub contractors have continued to contact me wanting me to get money from the builder. Having a custom house built is a stressful process for anyone but having angry unpaid individuals calling and coming to the door wanting help getting their money is horrible. There were also delays during the building process that should not have occurred- all window had been delivered and left unsecured- they were stolen within hours. Re order process took weeks. I had picked out a front door the builder took it upon himself to order a different door and install it without asking me. Don't hire this builder or you will have the same problems and possibly liens against your home. He also changes his address and does not update people. He did not notify the bank I had my construction loan of an address change nor any of the subcontractors. There are a number of inactive address's if you do a google search. He may also be representing himself with different business names.
