Description of Work: Made bi monthly visists to the house. Insured all was well inside and out. Provided numerous pictures showing the house condition. Was available for emergency visits when necessary. Checked mail and flyers and gave peace of mind that the house was ok. Also provided pick up and return rides to the airport when we made short visits.

 + -1 moreWe had a problem with the air conditioning in our condo. We were sent an alarm text message that said that our unit was reading 85 degrees. We live out of state and called Richard to check our unit for us. Richard went over on a Saturday to see what the problem was at our condo. After investigating our system he saw that the air conditioning unit was not working. Richard then took the time to schedule a heating and air conditioning company to come out for the repair. We were so appreciative of Richard's efforts to help us solve this issue in a very timely manner. If you want "Peace Of Mind" believe me when you employ Richard you can count on that! He will go out of his way to help you to feel secure with having property in Florida even though you live 1100 miles away. I can honestly say that you can not go wrong with Richard and the services that he provides.
Description of Work: Richard Snyder checks our condo on a monthly basis for any issues. We had a text message alarm that our unit temperature was 85 degrees. Richard went right over to our unit on a Saturday to investigate the problem for us since we live out of state.

They performed exactly what we requested & more and gave us regular updates, along with photographic support/back up. All further queries by me, were responded to within good time and costs were very reasonable. The price we were quoted was the price we paid, with no "extra" add ons. We really think this is a great service - trustworthy & professional & have no hesitation in recommending & using Home Services Etc again. 5 STAR Service!

 + -1 moreThe service that Richard provided was super. He did everything that he promised. His follow-up emails with attached pictures were complete and clear. He even noticed one of our finicky small lights that we had to light a palm tree was still on during the day. It completely put us at ease, knowing that he was checking on the exterior of our home. We will definitely use Richard for our next vacation. His price for us was fair, adjusting his cost due to having the exterior checks only this time. He even provided transportation to and from the airport (separate charge), which was extremely convenient for us. We found Richard to be professional, prompt, and trustworthy, and very personable.
Description of Work: We hired Richard to check on our home while we were away on vacation for a week. Because we were only gone for a week, we had him do exterior checks only, deciding on three visits. He checked to make sure all exterior points of entry were locked, verified the pool pump was running properly with no leaks, verified the mail had been stopped and no packages were delivered, made sure all vehicles were still present and locked. He then emailed us pictures of our home during each visit.

Description of Work: We are seasonal residents and hire Richard while we're gone to pick up mail, check the inside and outside of the house to make sure things are running smoothly, and occasionally to meet the cleaning service to prep the house for when we come back in town.

 + 0 moreGREAT ! My husband and I would recommend him to anyone concerned about their home, whether they leave for 1 day or many months. He makes our absence go much better, so we do not have any surprises when we arrive !
Description of Work: As snowbirds, this provider visits our home. He checks out the inside for proper cooling (he had once found out that the ac failed and then came again to be at the home when the ac technician arrived), no water issues, bug issues, and that everything appears in order. He also checks the exterior of the home picking up materials (newspapers, ads, etc) that people have left at the front door making the house look unoccupied. He also starts and runs the car that we leave in our garage. His rates are approximately $55 for a visit, and he has actually made runs by the home, without our prompting, after severe storms to check for down trees and branches. When he came to the house to be there when the ac was fixed, he charged a very reasonable $20. Upon his visits, he takes pictures, and attaches them to a very thorough report. We have used him for several years, he is reliable, goes out of the way, is trusting, and very organized/thorough.

 + 0 moreI have hired Richard for rides to/from the Tampa airport for several years. He is extremely reliable, always arriving a little before our agreed upon time. He assists with my luggage and his car is always clean and tidy. What I am most impressed with is Richard's willingness to go above and beyond what is expected of him. For example, my 91 year old mother has difficulty handling her luggage. Richard is willing to come in and carry her luggage to the car, help her with the door, and make sure she is safely inside the car. At the airport, he gets her as close as possible to the curb and makes sure her luggage is given to one of the baggage handlers before he leaves. One particularly busy day, when the airport was packed with travelers, Richard parked his car in short term parking and came back to assist Mom. He was concerned that she would be overwhelmed by the crowds and not get proper attention. He stayed with her until her luggage was checked, she was in her requested wheel chair and on her way to the gate. She would have missed her flight without his assistance. It's the thoughtful gestures like this that set Richard above the rest. After many years of rides, I value his work ethic, his thoughtfulness, and honesty. I would highly recommend him for any type of assistance you might need.

 + 2 moreWe are very happy with Richard's services. Each time he visits I receive a report in email detailing the situation at the condo. He includes several dated digital photos in each report. We knew when we purchased our seasonal condo that we did not want to leave it unattended for months at a time. We feel very comfortable knowing that Richard is checking on the place for us when we are up north. I highly recommend him to other snowbirds or people who are away from their home for long stretches.
Description of Work: We have used Richard's services to monitor the situation at our Palm Harbor, Florida condo since Spring 2012. He visits once a month and examines every nook and cranny of the condo to verify that no problems exist. We have also had him meet contractors at our place to let them in. He is available to provide other services, as well, such as transportation to/from the airport, etc.

Richard Snyder Home Services,etc (727) 420-6600 was recommended in the Clearwater Florida area. According the website, home services etc.net. the company provides a variety of services including house sitting. They were happy to comply with my simple request of meeting the furniture delivery and saved me from taking a half day off from work to be at home to let the delivery folks in. Well worth the small fee to save us significant inconvenience . I appreciated the photo and text confirming the delivery had been properly made. We will use them again.
Description of Work: Mr. Synder met furniture delivery at my home when I was unable to take off from work. He arrived early. Checked that the correct item had been delivered. Arranged for the item being replaced to be moved appropriately. Sent me a photo and email confirming the delivery and the correct placement of the item. I would definitely use his services again in any situation in which I had to have home repairs or deliveries and could not be present.

I had a house sitter lined up to be available to be at the house while I was at work but a family emergency left me without that person the day before. I did not want to cancel the inspection because the city had already canceled it several times prior. Despite the short notice, Richard was able to accommodate my request. He was very professional and came to my home while the inspector was there. He sent me messages during the appointment to let me know how it was going and what time he left. He also took pictures of the work being done so I would know that the city really came out. I am so thankful that Richard was able to help me. It was such short notice and he was so understanding of my predicament. I would happily recommend or use Richard's services again.

 + 2 moreWe have been very happy with Richard's service. He is licensed, bonded, and insured, so I never worry about him having access to our place and our things. Each month, it is a relief to receive his report and know that all is well at our vacation home. We pay $50 per visit for monthly monitoring. We recently had Richard meet someone at the condo so they could deliver flooring materials in our absence and he charged $20, which I thought was very reasonable. Because he lives in the area, he is available on short notice to take care of issues such as these. He is very flexible, as well, when it comes to setting up a schedule of times and dates for visits. If you want your vacation home or permanent residence taken care of in your absence, I highly recommend Richard Synder of Home Services, Etc.
Description of Work: In March 2012 my husband and I purchased a condo in Palm Harbor, Florida, which we plan to use as an escape from the winters in Pennsylvania. We were very concerned about leaving the property unattended for months at a time and decided to hire someone to check on the place periodically when we are up north. We hired Richard Snyder of Home Services, Etc. and arranged for him to visit our place once per month in our absence. Each time he visits he checks every nook and cranny of every room (including the lanai) with his trusty, ever-present flashlight, searching for evidence of pests, water leakage, or other problems. He also brings in our mail and any flyers or newspapers left at our door. Richard will come as often as we like. Although we are currently on a monthly schedule, some people prefer more frequent monitoring. Regardless of how often he visits, he emails a report with color photos within hours of each visit. In the event he finds a problem, Richard arranges to have it taken care of by a competent repair person ASAP. He has a list of businesses and tradesmen that he is comfortable working with when his clients need assistance. Richard offers other services, as well. If you need something delivered or repaired, he will meet the worker(s) at your place and let them in. He will also stay while the work is done if you want him, too. So far, we have rented a car when we visit our condo, but Richard would arrange transportation for us if we needed assistance in that area, as well. If we decide at some point to leave a car down there, he will start the car when he visits so that the battery doesn't run down.
