I have been going to Habitat for Humanity. The stuff they have there is incredible, beautiful furniture. I donated so much furniture to them. 96 cents of every dollar they make goes towards building homes. They build beautiful houses. Say you are building a new kitchen and you pull out the cabinets, people donate it there. I would go there new before I go to Lowe’s. You can buy everything there down to light switches. I bought two ceiling fans and I got two nice lamps and one of the objects was 15 each and the other was 25. If you donate, you have to donate through your community. If I had a couple of things to donate, if the washer and dryer were to go they would actually take the washer and dryer out of the walls for me, they are nice guys and you can buy paint there that’s ecologically friendly and not stinky and they’ve got like maybe 5 colors. I’ve got wall plate there where I got those lamps and I got light bulbs for like a dollar a piece. There is a brand new one on 19 and it’s maybe a mile up on the right hand side on Kirlew and it’s fairly new. The furniture there is beautiful. The bigger store is on Hillsborough. When you are going there you’ve got to watch for this car wash because otherwise you’ll go pass it. I have donated hardware stuff, paint and light switches. I have given them to bedrooms full of furniture, chest, dressers, and coach. I haven’t seen anything that is dirty, dusty or stinky. The pricing is phenomenal. They are very helpful but they are very busy. You take a photograph of what you have and show them to see if it usable or not and then they set up a date and come pick it up. You can only donate in your county.
Description of Work: I donated a lot of furniture to them and they came and pick it up. They are not open on Sundays and Mondays. I have seen pool tables there and glassware. They have tools and floor tiles, doors windows.
