After spending a horrible week dealing with a big franchise company to fix our A/C, we called Cool Wizard. They diagnosed it that afternoon and replaced the faulty part the following day. Happy to say the price was very reasonable and we couldn’t ask for better service! We will definitely call them first in the future.

My AC quit on Friday night 4th of July weekend. I was in a complete panic because I figured at 6pm on a holiday weekend, I'd be doing good to get anyone at all without paying a lot. We also have 2 children, one of whom is a baby. I needed it fixed fast! I called Cool Wizard and they came within 15 minutes. They had it fixed in under 30 minutes. Pino, the owner is really nice. They came, got right to work and had my house cool within an hour. The service call was only $90, which I thought was reasonable given the circumstances. This is a small, local business. I would use them again, without reservation.

My AC unit needed repairs as capacitor needed replacement.  Called this firm, came out first thing in the morning.  Charged me $45.00 for service call but then had the audacity to charge me $149.00 for a $60.00 price for capacitor!  What a total rip off!  Owner admitted the retail price of capacitor was $60.00 but I had to pay his price as he has a make a profit!  Talk about highway robbery!  Beware of this firm marking up parts almost 250 percent!  Get other offers!

The unit was installed in 4 hours as promised and the tech cleaned up well afterwards. I only had one misunderstanding. I purchased a compressor with a heat pump. My current thermostat wiring only allows for 1 source of heat, so my heat strip that is part of my air handler did not get connected and I really didn't know this until the Winter. Fortunately even 34 degree weather did not strain my heat pump and I still haven't connected the heat pump, so all is well.

Cool Wizard was extremely helpful in locating a specialty part that I needed and delivering it very quickly. Outstanding service.

This company was a life saver for us. My x-husband called this company after our blower unit was not running properly, in mid-August, and the house was getting hotter from the lack of the air return running consistently. Originally, I called Bayside Heating and Air, who I have a service contract with, first thing in the a.m. to come look at my unit. They showed up around 2:30 p.m., did a quick check and said the entire upstairs blower unit had to be replaced, and it would cost $1,291. I asked the repairman to call their office and remind them the blower unit had been replaced previously (approx. 2-3 years ago) while still under warranty and it should not have failed so soon. I called my x-husband, who also called Bayside's office and they said they could send out another technician to do more "specialized" diagnostics on the unit to see if it was indeed the entire unit that needed replacing. When I called the house to talk to the technician, I found out he'd already charged us the $59.95 service charge, and left. We called Cool Wizard. The technician, Josh, was there quickly, diagnosed the problem as actually the blower control module, as opposed to the entire unit, and said he could possibly get a used module, if I was interested, or order the part new from Trane. I opted for the used-unit, no warranty and $200 less expensive. By the time I got home, Josh had the unit in hand ($345) and was ready to start the repair (4:15 p.m.). By 5:15 p.m., Josh had the system running like a charm and had replaced the freon that had leaked from the cap being left loose by the other company. Total cost $484.

Frank, the lead techinicial showed up with his team on the days scheduled on time and ready to go to work. They had all the parts necessary to complete the job and they never left for parts or a trip to the supply shop. This team takes a great deal of pride their work and it shows! They did not try and rush through the job to get to the next one. They ensured every detail was paid attention to and also took the time to train my wife and I on the new unit(s) and how they operate. Every day that were at our home they took the time to clean up after themselves and ensure no parts were in our way from one work day to the next. I would definitely use this company again and refer them to my family and friends.
