Boss Electric came out to my house a total of four times for loss of power in one room. First visit replaced a breaker. Power went out again. Second visit replaced breaker again. Tech admitted the part might have been old or used! Both techs wore flimsy scarf as a face mask. One tech entered my house after being outside with NO MASK! Power went out again. Third visit replaced an outlet that did not need replacement and charged $55 for a new outlet! Power went out again. Fourth visit checked outlets and found loose wire and tightened. Power went out again. After complaining to office staff about incorrect mask usage during a pandemic I was reassured new masks were provided to staff each day. First tech showed up with visually dirty mask. Second tech had flimsy scarf. I had to give him one of my own masks to enter my house. We finally gave up on them after they could not fix the issue and told us we would need the whole area rewired. They were also late three out of the four visits and obviously do not take a pandemic seriously enough to protect their workers or clients. After venting our multiple frustrations with the owner, he decided to attempt to argue and bully us into dropping it. He had the extra gall to send us a bill for more labor hours after already bilking us out of $250 for initial visit. I called another electrician and he diagnosed the issue in one hour and fixed it. Do not use Boss Electric unless you want unprofessional and incompetent service.

They tried to charge me $700 for the exact pool pump I can see on Amazon, and other sites for $189. Total (parts and labor) was going to be $1000 for installing a $189 pump. I understand they need to make a profit. But the way this was done - hurrying to do the install before I could hear the price they were charging me.. seemed wrong. I won't be doing business with them again.

The crew that showed up was great. They listened to my concerns and got to work right away. They were efficient and completed the job quickly. I was so pleased I'm getting them to give me a quote for my next large project.

They are responsive. We feel comfortable with them. We haven't had a problem with everything they have done after they have worked on it. We haven't had any issues with them. With regard to price, I don't have a whole lot to compare it to, but a couple of times they have said that they will cover something for free. With regard to quality, we haven't had any issues.

It went very well, the electrician arrived early and I requested 7:45 a.m. and took less that 45 minutes. I split the cost with Bayside Heating and Air since it was an homeowner issue.

Jim arrived on time and was able to coordinate his job with the air condition company I had out to replace the inside and outside unit. Jim was very professional and completed a lengthy job in a timely manner. Both my husband and I were pleased with his work and the city inspector was impressed also.

Worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. It started with the technician arriving 1 1/2 hours late, without bothering to call. They did not explain the various choices of lighting available.The lighting below the cabinets are too dim and they installed high profile flourecent tube lights above the cabinets.The tubes and lighting fixtures are all visible and make the kitchen look like an industrial warehouse.When we complained to the owner he was rude but said he would come and look at it.He never came and never called.The technician who did the work left before completing the work when we expressed our displeasure with lighting on cabinets and did not clean the areas he was working at.

"The lights installed under & above cabinets were the lights that were approved by the customer on the proposal & signed off on the invoice by the member. Prior to the work being completed, the member came home & began screaming hysterically & cursing at our tech. The member took the tech outside & apologized for her behavior. A credit was given for the work not completed & he left the job. (We have more details written by the tech) The member's wife called our emergency number on Saturday to complain. She was very irate, indignant, & used bad language. I personally talked with her and asked if I could come to her home on Monday to try and solve the problem. That was not acceptable to her, she wanted me to come right away on Saturday even though our office was closed. She screamed at me using obsenities and hung up on me. The secretary in our office contacted the BBB per my instructions on Monday to make them aware of the problem since we are members and to see if they could do anything to help us resolve this situation. We were unable to get a response that day, but have been in toulch w/ them since. On Tuesday we received an email in the office from her with her complaint. The secretary called the member's wife to try and see what we could do to make her happy. The member's wife was again very irate & made it clear she did not want me as the owner to come to her home or anyone else from our company. That was the last contact we have had with this customer. We tried to do everything that the member contracted us to do and when that failed we made every effort to try and satisfy this customer. The member's wife made it totally impossible to even speak with her let alone find a satisfactory solution. We are still willing to try and resolve this if it is at all possible."

The electrician came on schedule, did the wire replacement required, and checked over my circuit box and tightened some breakers that the Bayside workers had moved around and left too loose. He seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. Everything is working well. Although Bayside chose Boss Electric rather than me, I am sure that Bayside would not entrust such an important job (the new HVAC system cost me $7,000) to just any electrical company. Also, two other Boss electricians came out a few days later to double-check that the electrical work was done properly. I'm sure that Boss Electric did not want to have any trouble with the county inspector. I would call this company if I had the need for an electrician in the future.
