BFJ CONSTRUCTION

It was terrible. hellish. The workers basically had a noisy party in my backyard for two weeks and left the place a total mess every day. workmen i had not met would show up unannounced do do electricity or another beam or support.. they built the concrete walls but did not put in any rebar or support. days would go by and then someone else would show up whom i had not met. my calls went unanswered. The final straw for me was when two guys showed up early saturday morning to pour more cement for spackling. and left the side gate open and two of my cats got out! . they didn't even apologize, they said... "i didn't see no cats..." to make matters worse, they said they do everything to code but that i didn't need any permits that cost too much and take too long for inspectors to come out and look at the work. They charged me almost 9 grand but luckily i only paid them 3,000. They have refused to return that. So that's a wash. i have reported them to Pinellas county . The investigator just came out and told me i will have to start from scratch and tear everything down. I called Home Depot and cancelled my 8 grand order of windows and told them the nightmare story. I thought someone who was contracted by Home Depot would be good. Well, I was so wrong. Home Depot refunded all my money. these jokers came back to my house to beg me to let them finish the job and "make things right.".. turns out they lost their home depot contract because of this. :)))) they said they would give me a discount and take a few photos so they could get an engineer to come up with drawings and go to the county and get them approved. i told them that made me even more sure i wasn't going to let them do any more work. an engineer drawing up plans for a house he has not even seen or measured??? If you come in contact with Michael Langone or his assistant Dustin, don't i repeat, don't fall for their b*******. They put me and my 93-year-old mother through h***. I had just moved here from California and i guess they saw a wide-eyed innocent, ripe for the ripping off. (i found my two missing cats.. thank GOD. If i hadn't i would have personally neutered those stupid workmen.)

Home Depo had wrong measurement for my brand new windows that left huge gaps between my window and window frame. They send BFJ to make a dry wall to fill them up. We were very happy of the result. They are on time and take care their business. Great quality and excellent manner. We will use them again for any remodeling or small home improvement projects.

He was referred to me by another roofing company. He is a general contractor who does a lot of the work himself which I really liked. I called him & he answered the phone himself. He also came out the same day & the job was done the same day. He was very fairly priced & did a great job. He also has low overhead. He has a good attitude & cleaned up well when he was done. I am considering using him again for future work.
