He's a little more expensive, but the facility has a lot of high quality care. They also use a holistic approach, and have a lot of equipment not found at other clinics.

Dr. Murphy is very pro-active and he just knows a lot.  I had tried to go to a less expensive vet and it wasn't a good experience and went back to Dr. Murphy and realized how good he is.  My interaction was excellent.

We are very happy with our veterinarian and we are very satisfied. They are excellent. Our dog has some medical issues and they have been very good about it. They have always been very meticulous about the things that we mention. The office is clean and the staff is very caring.

After spending years at another vet and throwing money towards daily medication we had enough. We were told our dog had an allergy to his food and/or his environment. But after over a year of the medication not fixing the problem we were ready to switch. 
This office has been just what our dog has needed. They started by doing skin scrapes and found our dog has a horrible yeast problem. So we're now on the right path to getting him feeling better & have plans with the vet for future steps.
Vet care is never cheap, but neither is the medical coverage on the rest of my family, so I was not surprised by the cost of the visit.

I like Dr. Murphy from Animal & Bird Medical Center of Palm Harbor very much. He spends a lot of time with us. He went over the disease and different options to treat the disease. Within the past 5 weeks, we’ve brought in food for him to look at to make a recommendation on what food to use. They call us over the weekend which I was very impressed with to find out how my dog was doing with the insulin treatment. They always callback when I ask the doctor to call me. He seems very capable.

Dr. Murphy and the staff have been very caring and easy to work with.  Recognizing the age of my pet, they did not try to sell me services that she is too old to benefit from.  I am very happy with them.

It seemed like quite a bit of waiting time when I didn't see any other "patients" in the waiting room.  However, the staff was very helpful and I was impressed with Dr. Murphy and the time he took with us.

My little 11 year old min-pin had to have a tumor removed from her tail and biopsied as well as have a tooth abstracted.  As most dog owners know, putting a dog under anesthesia can be somewhat dangerous.  Dr. Murphy was very careful to put my dog under the same care that humans would receive.  Also Dr. Murphy is so gentle with the animals.  The staff are also amazingly caring.  I received follow-up calls from Dr. Murphy as well as the staff.  One time I picked up the wrong bag of medication at the end of the day and they were kind enough to drop it off at my house (extraordinary circumstance) as it was impossible to get there. 
Then I brought both of my dogs in as they had been licking their paws quite a bit as well as itching their ears.  We just moved down from Chicago and the dogs hadn't done that up north.  I thought that perhaps they were stressed from the move.  It turns out that they have allergies, which was actually a relief.  Dr. Murphy is very careful not to drug them up but to actually treat the problem as minimally as possible.  I have received a follow-up call re the medication and the results.
The $1000 was for all of the above mentioned which included:  anesthesia, surgical procedure, biopsy, tooth abstraction and teeth cleaning, medication, follow-up visit, allergy appointments for both dogs as well as medication.  Also they were accommodating in helping me with my pet insurance company.
The people there are SO nice.  I highly recommend this vet.

I am so happy to have found Dr. Murphy after being referred to his Veterinary practice by another one of his clients. My Siamese will be a patient for life at Animal and Bird Medical Center of Palm Harbor and I will always trust them with any pet I am lucky enough to serve.

I go there monthly. My pet has a lot of issues. They are very good. The work that they provide is excellent. They have been accurate with their diagnosis.

We received excellent service from the staff and Dr. Murphy and learned that the fleas in the area were growing resistant to the flea product we were using.  Our dog is doing well and we are flea free again.

Took my new baby Cockatoo in to see the vet because I was concerned about her weight. She was given a complete exam and I was given lots of medical advise as to her care. I felt the Dr was wonderful and listened to my concerns. It wasn't cheap, but neither was my bird. I feel I got what I paid for, and would go back when needed. The only drawback was the prices. To do lab work was too much $.

Both cats are large and one was especially unhappy at being there. Staff was professional and patient.

They have state of the art equipment. Dr. Murphy is always continuing his education. Whenever I have an issue with my animals they get me in immediately. They are excellent on follow ups. I am able to be with my animals during procedures. He has specialists that come in for holistic medicine. You get very prompt results, faster then other clinics because they can do it in-house. I wouldn't trust my animals for anyone else for specialty care. He may not be the lowest price, he is worth the extra for the care and expertise you get.

Things went great and Bentley healed remarkably from the surgery. He had the best care he could have ever gotten.

Just a bit of a wait, but very much worth it. He is a great vet.
