A & W Pool Service

I was VERY pleased with the professionalism and service Al provided!! He went out of his way to get us on his route the very day I called. He came prepared with the proper parts and was very pleasant to deal with. His prices were reasonable, used Hayward original parts. I couldn't have ask for a better person/company to use for ANY pool related issues. They can count on me as a repeat customer!!

we have used a and w for some years and have benefited from the advise that came with this service. for general repairs and upgrades it has been a good relationship for us.

Decent installation but poor after install service. Installer left new remote in mailbox with NO instructions or offered assistance with programming remote. After many phone calls did come back grudgingly and helped with programming. Several issues with remote since then. Now refuses to return to our home. All reviews 2015 or earlier when business was run by father (we had work done by father who was exceptional). Son now in charge and either does not want to come to central/south Pinellas county or does not have the desire to provide decent customer service.

Al did some work in the past and will continue to use him in the future for pool work.

Called A and W, spoke with Al, and explained the situation with our salt generator. Al gave us a few different options on how to proceed. We decided on a new system and Al had availability that afternoon. We are very particular when having any work done at our house. With that said, the installation of the new equipment could not have been better. We recommend A and W and would not hesitate using them again.

One word... EXCELLENT! My pool pump had stopped working. It would hum for a few seconds, then nothing? I saw the sticker for Aand W Pool and Spa Svc on the control panel, and went right to Angie's List to check it our. Take my advice... just because those other companies have a big name or a lot of employees, doesn't mean they're the best. Al is as professional as it gets! When he arrived I showed him the problem. He immediately told me it was 1 of 3 issues. He told me how we would know which of the 3 it was, and gave me the price for all 3. My motor had simply burned out (It was eight years old) and no, that wasn't the most expensive of the 3 possible issues. Al was timely, thorough, double-checked everything before he left, and gave me some great pool pump education while he worked. Furthermore, he's one heck of a nice guy. Al and Aand W Pool and Spa offer something that's very hard to find in today's economy... Honesty! Class "A" all the way. Trust me, if you use him once... you'll use him again. Top Notch!

Aand W pools came and explaned what he was going to do and how much it would be and he did the work very well.

It went well. Al gave me a couple costs, depending on whether or not I wanted to replace only a rather expensive gasket or the entire part. I elected the part because even though it was a little more expensive, it was really old and pretty hard to turn. I talked him in to cleaning the line, because I have a lot of oak trees so know how it can get. he kept telling me it cost x dollars and was I sure. I was sure, and he did it. and we did get leaves out. Al is great to work with he is prompt, professional and has a good attitude and sense of humor. He will get ALL my pool work from now on...BTW he was referred by another service company from Angie's List who just didn't happen to perform the service I needed...they are leak specialists. We called A & W Pools and they came out to our home the same day with a brand new 1 horsepower motor/pump. They had it repaired in about an hour and our pool system was back in full operation. We highly recommend them to install or repair pool pumps, motors and filters.
