Sears Home Service

They had the part expressed for same day delivery and came back to install the part same day.

The leak was easily found by the tech., and had been caused by faulty installation whe unit was delivered and installed. The Sears store in Palatka, FL said they would do nothing so Sears service came for $90.00 just to find the problem and I fixed it myself. Later, the 1 yr old unit failed to pump out water and another $90.00 visit to do a 1 minute repair and it finally worked again. Meanwhile, the origional leaking hose caused the woodwn floor to rot and need replacement for $1,000.00. Now Sears service sold us a 5 year nearly all encompasing guarantee for $660.00. Also, although they tell you what day they wi be there, not the time of day until the morning of the arrival date, causing customers to waste a whole day.9

I purchased $6,000 worth of Kenmore Elite Kitchen appliances
in Mid July to be delivered July 29th. Delivery went great, install (at the
time I thought) even greater. When I went to use the dishwasher, it wasn't
getting water. I called service, they said "not there issue, that's
install".  I called install. I was
told the installer would call me back within 24 hours. No one called. I called
install after 48 hours. Was told they would call back within 24 hours. no one
called. I called service and just told them the dishwasher doesn't work. They
sent a team out to the house. They couldn't fix the water line, "they are
not plumbers" " call
install"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I demanded they do
something! They called install. Was told someone would call back in 24 hours. I
told them this wasn't good enough. After he made several more calls, he
promised I would hear from install by Monday evening (this was Saturday, after
waiting days for the appointment) . I'll call you Monday to follow up. Sunday
night I get a call from Sears, install will call Monday. Monday at 3pm service
calls to follow up, insures me I'll get a call from install "by the end of
the day".  NO CALL. I give up. After
two weeks of attempting to get the dishwasher water line fixed (it kinked when
they pushed the dishwasher in, they left to much copper line in behind the
dishwasher), I hired a plumber to fix it. I just want to share my experience
with you and as many people as I can. I can't believe Sears has this many internal
issues that a sale of this size is compromised with such a trivial issue. As a
local real estate agent in a large real estate firm, a lot of potential
business will certainly NOT be referred to a company that operates like this.

They were fantastic. They were extremely timely and very informative.

I had one in my old house in Illinois that I recently sold. When I moved to this house I knew that I wanted another one so I went ahead and purchased one right away and had them install it. I am very satisfied with it.

They opened up the air handler and did some stuff in there. Thats also the way they hooked up the giant vacuum. I have a dust allergy so that was very helpful. I was very satisfied. I picked Sears because I purchased a water softener from them and they had an advertisement on duct cleaning.
