Doug Colpoys-Remax Select Professionals

We are considering moving to the Palm Coast area and wanted to view some representative homes. We wrote to Doug and explained we were just beginning our search and asked if he could show us some properties. Doug responded to all our inquiries promptly and emailed us some listings so we could get an idea of the area before our appointment. Doug spent several hours taking us to view a half dozen homes that fit our criteria. He also took us to see a model home when we expressed interest. We were very impressed with his knowledge of building codes, construction and the real estate market. He was very patient in answering our many questions. We left confident that he understood our needs. If we relocate to Palm Coast, we will use Doug Colpoys as our realtor.

Purchased home! Follow-up was excellent; recommendations regarding lawn service, home inspection, A/C, etc. were followed by us and all turned out to be very good.

We are closing on a home now on Ormond beach.

He used to work for a builder as an inspector, so I felt pretty confident when he went and looked at the house for me. He knew what the issues were as far as problematic things in the way of construction or things because of his previous job experience. As far as the money he makes in commission, it is probably kind of setup. It doesn’t have to do anything with any particular agency. He was very responsive except that I made the arrangements to buy this home when I was in West Virginia, so I did it by way of telephone and internet. If he has people here locally, they always got priority which is understandable. He got married around the same time that we were closing, so there were very minor issues with his punctuality. He was very professional. I would recommend him to our friends.

I like working with him. Since I'm in West Virginia he has been really good about sending me pictures and videos of the properties to help me choose. He has written up four offers for me and realizes how serious I am and has been so helpful. I realyl respect his knowledge. He used to be a home inspector prior to becoming a realtor, so he knows what kind of condition a home is in before he presents it to me which makes him very valuable to me.
