Extremely well. It was Saturday morning, he called back immediately after I left a voice mail and came to my house in an hour after the call. Fixed the problem quickly and the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend his services and would use him again for any other garage door problems.

The install was perfect and this commonly is a pleasure to deal with. Very tentative and punctual. Responded well to all messages and in the best timely manner. The installer was friendly and very knowledgable. This company is one of the most honest garage door companies I have ever felt with. Did not over charge and completed the work super fast!

It went GREAT!  My call was returned promptly and a time was scheduled, a specific time- not a four hour window.  James arrived at exactly the time scheduled.  He examined the safety beam setting and realigned it within a few minutes.  He said it was so simple and so quick that there was no charge!  He did not even want to charge for his time to schedule and make the call.  Wow!  This company deserves the high rating it has received on Angie's List.  If I ever have any garage door issues, this is the company I will go to every time.

He was on time, knew what needed to be done, and did the work fixing my door. He gave me a price and that was my cost to have the gear assembly replaced. He also cleaned things out and greased my hinges so the door was quieter.

I called early in the afternoon and he came out the same day, fixed it, has worked fine since. Fast, punctual, efficient, and professional. Also the lowest price of the three estimates I obtained. Good guarantee on parts and labor ~ I think it was 5 years on parts and a couple years on labor.

Jim came out in about an hour after my call on a Sunday morning for someone that isnt even established in the area. I was a sure victim in waiting for 99% of the contractors I have ever met. He said that he could get the door to close and open manually for no charge until I could decide what I wanted to do with it. It was half open all night with all my unpacked stuff all over. A very unattractive view for the new neighbors I am sure. There was also a security threat for there was no way to hide my possessions. He offered to repair the springs , rollers , tracks, they were bent to h*** and back and make the door functional on the spot. We both looked it over and I could see that this door was past just repairs. It was my opinion that just repairing this door would be a never ending night mare. It was my idea that a new door , tracks and installation was in order. He did not UP SELL ME. He listened to what the customer wanted and advised me of both the pros and cons. I looked at some samples that he brought on my request and decided on a door that was a little more money than the base model he had in stock that he could install the same afternoon. By selecting the better door at a little increase in cost we agreed that he would order the nicer looking one and return to install it in a couple weeks.( remember he got the old broken door functional) Imagine a contractor not selling the
and quot; in stock and quot;item that would get him paid immediately for all of this but putting the customers wishes first? What does that say about him and the way he treats his customers? As adults we have all at one time or another wished that we could just catch a break. I did. And it came in a very unexpected way . Would I recommend him? You better believe I would ! Regarding Mr. Atkins of Atkins Garage Doors....I am most impressed and pleased with his work. I placed a call to his business phone on a Saturday. He returned my call the same day while he was on vacation! He returned from vacation Sunday morning and installed two new springs on my garage door on Sunday afternoon. He is most impressive! It is rare, if ever, you receive this kind of service from any business. I would not hesitate to recommend him very highly.

He came on a Sunday night after returning home from vacation. I had called on the previous Friday, and he returned the call, saying that he was on vacation but would be back on Sunday and would come and see why our garage door would not work. He came at 6:30 pm after calling earlier to give me a time. We thought the spring had broken on the garage door. Jim found that it was not the spring, but some WD 40 needed to be used on the sides, which he told us we could do. He would not charge us anything!
I was impressed with his responsiveness and dependability.

Very prompt response to our call on a busy holiday week-end. James was efficient and reasonable, and he gave us advice on aging door parts and what to watch for, when they began to fail. We will definitely call him when those parts require replacement and for any other work having to do with the garage door.

When James came to my home to see exactly what I wanted and to give me an estimate, I noticed he did not try to sell me something I didn't want or need. He explained everything about the product, parts and process and took the time to answer my questions.
James is not only the owner of the company but is also the installer and has a helper with him so he knows exactly what workmanship is going into each job. Both men were prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. I am very pleased with the service and finished product.

Returned my call within the 1/2 hour. Gave me a time for the same afternoon, and arrived on time. Had all the appropriate tools and the parts. Finished in good time and didn't even mind my questions. Recommend this company.
