Able Furniture Repair Co

I hired Able Furniture Repair to do some woodwork in my home.  Several of our bedroom and closet doors would not open and close without sticking.  Joey repaired them just fine.  However, I have an antique baby grand piano which is in pristine condition that belonged to my grandmother and was purchased in 1906.  I explained that it was invaluable, and how carefully it needed to be treated.  It needed two tiny screws to be replaced to keep the music stand upright.  Joey brought two screws that were longer than the thickness of the wood.  He screwed them in and made two awful holes on the front side of the piano.  Duh!  Even though I am not experienced in furniture repair, I know that if you put a screw into a piece of wood that is longer than the thickness of the wood, the screws will come through the other side!   Then, seeing his mistake, he attempted to cover the mistake with stain and finish, which he did a horrible job at.  The result is that after 107 years of having an unblemished music stand on my piano, I now have two unsightly holes in the front of my piano, badly "fixed" with varnish drips down the front.  I will NEVER allow Able Furniture Repair into my home again.
