Travmo Electric

Travmo was recommended by the company installing the lift and having never used an electrician in the area we called them. Hal, from Travmo, came out and looked at what we needed done. Upon leaving he said he would get a proposal to us. We didn't get a proposal but when we spoke to Denise at Travmo she would only quote the hourly rates for the electrician and the apprentice. When asked why 2 people were needed for the job she stated they may not need 2 people but if the electrician needed a helper they would send one. The next call we got was from Denise stating she was sending her guys over to do the prep work. When asked again about the proposal and estimate she only quoted hourly rates. They came 5 times to complete the work and when we received the invoice we were stunned. They billed us $2200 for total of 37 hours labor . After receiving this invoice we spent time talking to Hal about the cost and asked which part of this job REQUIRED 2 people. After a bit he told us his insurance company required him to have 2 people when doing dock work . What? We were not told this when asking about costs. In the end the boat lift was installed but the power pedestal was installed 90 degrees out so the light now shines at our house and the top was broken. BE SURE TO GET A WRITTEN PRICE QUOTE AND A SIGNED CONTRACT BEFORE ALLOWING ANY WORK TO BE DONE

Hal from Travmo, came in and we went over all that needed to be done, within hours, I received a phone call from their office staff who was very professional and courteous and not only gave me a very fair estimate, they made sure that the appointment worked around my schedule.
They came in worked quietly and efficiently and left a clean work area. I would highly recommend TRAVMO for any and all your Electrical needs. I have another project coming up and will surely be calling them for it !!!

They came out the same day we called because they were concerned about a fire hazard. The owner came personally and he was courteous and explained everything so I could understand. I appreciate that he did not try to sell any additional services, which always seems to happen with other service types. He gave me confidence that the problem was corrected and we did not have to worry about a fire.
