We hired Nancy and her team to complete an epoxy coat painting job. She came highly recommended. While the job was completed in a punctual and professional manner, the final product has been nothing short of horrible. After the designated time-frame given to our family not to park in the garage, we began parking one of our vehicles on the new epoxy flooring. Immediately, we noticed that black tire marks were being left on the newly painted floor. Being in love with my new beautiful garage floor, I politely asked my wife to stop parking in the garage. As the month's progressed into summer, my wife insisted that she be able to park in our 2 car garage again. Immediately, we began noticing permanent black tire marks in every single spot that she parked. We contacted Nancy, who suggested using different chemicals to remove the tire marks. None of these options worked. She then reached out to the distributor, and then forwarded a letter to me stating that "Most all brands of tires may leave brown / black stains on most painted, stained or synthetic surfaces. The tires contain an ingredient call Plasticizer, which makes the rubber more pliable and soft." None of this was mentioned in Nancy's sales pitch. I would have specifically recalled her saying, "I will make your garage beautiful, but if you park in it, the paint will be ruined and you will have to look at black tire marks all over your floor" (Which completely defeats the purpose of painting one's garage floor). In addition, the forwarded letter from the manufacturer suggested that this was an industry-wide problem, bringing me to the conclusion that either: 1) The product was deficient, and Nancy did not know - which should lead her to refund my money for offering a poor product without proper disclosures or 2) The product was deficient, and Nancy did know, leading me to believe that she has built an entire epoxy painting business promising that all of her customers would be able to park in their garages (simply to close sales and to make more money). This option again brings me to the conclusion that the floors should be repaired or a refund should be issued. At its core, it is not right that we spent a reasonable amount of money for an absolutely horrible product, and the business owner is not taking the responsibility to either fix the floors or refund our hard earned money. This is the first time I have written a review on the internet, and normally I would just let it go. However the lack of responsibility from Nancy, leads me to at least warn other consumers about the company and product. An offer to refund my money for a sub par product / service was never offered. I have decided to install carpet in my garage. In summation, I would caution all consumers, of Lush Brush painting. I cannot imagine how many customers have been lied to about the durability of their epoxy floors. I have included our last email correspondence below: Attached is a letter that the Tuff Top Rep sent me today and asked me to forward to you. I also gave him your number and he will be contacting you tomorrow morning. His name is Sean King. Have a good evening, Nancy O Response: Hi Nancy, I am not quite sure what I am supposed to take from this letter. It does not reasonably resolve the current damage to our garage floor. And at best, it states that this is a WIDELY known industry problem, that was not disclosed before your assessment, negotiation, or completion of our epoxy floors. I can only assume hundreds of other clients have not been advised of this issue. Lastly, it makes no comments towards other materials that may permanently damage the epoxy coating. At its core, who would willingly invest any money into garage floors that would would be permanently damaged by car tires. I look forward to working together to find out what other viable options exist to prevent further damage.
