We met with Chris at the property and walked through everything that needed to be done. He gave us an estimate at the property and followed it up with an email. However, although he quoted mulch and trimming trees (and included those in the actual file name on the quote - "Mulch_plant_sod Estimates seitz.docx"), he didn't honor it. And when we asked about it, he said "We didn't pick a color so I didn't add it" (although it was included in the verbal estimate onsite and was expected the entire time. Then, he told us we had til 4:30PM that day to make a decision if we wanted it.
We were going to just do it ourselves because we were unhappy that they played games to squeeze more money out at the last minute. But then he replied with a message saying he did it and would be charging, without authorization to do so. 
Finally, we scheduled the job several weeks in advance to be installed on a specific date (May 5th) as we were out of the area and would be arriving the next day and wanted to be there . When it came time to do it, he did it earlier for some reason. Except, he only did "part" of it. He put the sod down but didn't put in any of the bushes or hedges and didn't even finish the sod. He kept asking if we wanted to change what we had already agreed upon. We did not. 
It took an extra 10 days to get the rest of the landscaping in. He complained that it took a week to order the plants, but he had 2 weeks prior to the original start date and he apparently didn't do anything until after he installed the sod. The whole job was supposed to be completed on May 5th. It was not. 
It's extremely frustrating to have people not deliver on a schedule to which they agree AND to nickel and dime you at the end of the job to charge for items that were originally in the quote.

*** Update ***
2 weeks after he installed the mulch, there were weeds growing up through the mulch. Properly installed mulch has a layer beneath it that keeps the weeds from growing through. So, I have had to drop the quality a bit from my original post. 

Ultimately, I'd stay clear of these guys. Bad experience overall.
