Total RV

When my old a/c was working, it was phenomenal, but started to freeze up. I had called Total r/v with a list of maintenance issues and was happy to find someone that would come to the house. He recommended a different a/c, saying mine was bottom of the line. While working on the camper, his assistant kicked a plumbing stack, breaking it. He stated it was old and brittle, and needed to be replaced anyway. It was, so I agreed for him to replace it at cost. Later he told me he had placed his hand on one of the roof vents and it cracked. He said it was old and brittle and needed to be replaced anyway. Not as sure this time and perturbed, but agreed to have him replace. Then he broke another roof vent. Getting ridiculous. After the a/c was installed, rain was coming in and it was getting late, he said he would have to return for the rest of the list. Over several days I found the a/c would not cool as much as the old unit, apparently the thermostat in it is not as low as the other unit. He said he would have to replace it under warranty, and after numerous phone calls over weeks, then months, he simply stopped returning calls. He also installed Max air vent covers, after he left when I turned on the bathroom fan, and it was screaming with the fan hitting the screen. Wasn't doing it before he worked on it, now it was, but he refused to take responsibility when I told him about it. Seemed nice enough, but you are warned.

after installing the new antenna, he tried to reconnect our media as it had been before he unhooked it to install the new antenna. He couldn't do it, said it was impossible to do, and charged us the full amount anyway. We hired another mobile company to try and fix what he had messed up, and it took them less than 15 minutes to get it all connected and running correctly.

I called him 5 times after that, and asked him to call me back, so I could tell him how simple the fix had been, and to ask him for a partial refund to cover the additional 45.00 we had to spend to fix his mistakes.... he refused to return my calls, , or email me. I was so disappointed at his lack of professionalism, and his failure to do what he had promised.

I have never had this type of issue from any other service provider that I have used. i just saw that he was on Angie's List and wanted to share my disappointing experience.
