The inspector missed ALL of this. The roof tile, the rust, the mold and the water damage inside the home. The inspector claims that this damage (which I showed him with pictures) occurred in the weeks between inspection and closing. Common sense and 2 handymen suggest otherwise.
Now a few weeks after moving in, we continue to discover electrical lines which aren't working, damaged pavers throughout the home, non-working refridgerators in our patio, broken electronic window fixtures, broken shower fixtures, a significant bug problem...the list keeps going. The home we bought turned out to be neglected by its prior home owner - and too much of that neglect was completely missed by this home inspector.
I would never in my life refer this man/company to another person. We are extremely disappointed with this service.
"The inspection was very thorough and was completed well before the month and a half of severe rainstorms that ensued. I walked the roof and reported on the minor issues that were then visible. I did find that an access door to the attic area was blocked from view and on inspection found and reported water damage, pest intrusion and mold. This issue was major and was hidden from immediate view. The water accumulation and surface leaking was not there when I inspected the roof. I relayed all of this to Mr. (member name removed) to no avail. All of the other issues in the complaint were, in fact, reported as part of the inspection process ...in the report. This is an 8,000 sq ft ...+/-3.5 million dollar house that had many inspection issues with the major one being behind the hidden attic access door... just to put the other issues in proper perspective. The attic issue and many of the other issues were corrected by the owner."
