Green Home Dryer Vent Cleaning

Greg came out to home on Saturday - I called at 8:50 a.m. and he came to my home cleaned my vent and replaced tubing by 10:00 a.m. The tubing that came with my dryer was a fire hazard and should not be used. His response time was amazing!! I am so glad I chose his company to clean my vent!! Thank you so much!!!

The job went fine and the gentleman did a great job. I thought it was kind of pricey to first pay for the inspection and then pay for the work. He assured me that most people doing it for less don't do a good job. However, I am a bit skeptical on that point.

Very Promote, Arrived the same day we called. Courteous and helpful, walked us through the process and worked over the required amount to ensure that the clean duct was in tip-top shape.

Well apparently, the vent hadn't been cleaned in years before I bought the house. Also when the house was built they inserted an elbow pipe which made air folow up and out through the roof difficult. All of this was cleaned out, a new pipe was installed which meant cutting the dry wall behind the dryer, however, what used to take an hour or more to dry, now takes 20-30 minutes. THe dryer could have easily burned out and the amount of lint could have caused a fire. Would definitely recommend. I ended up spending more than I thought I would but wasn't counting on new pipe, etc. Will call back for next cleaning

it was really bad and nasty clogged on the air duct vent for the dryer, nasty lint, hair and gunk, Greg did a great job cleaning n unclogging the vent. will recommend to other and will use the service again. fantastic job Greg!.

Every year, we have Mr. Greg Clark come to our house to do our dryer vent cleaning and dryer check. He always arrives on time, calling that he is on his way, too. He is very personable, very professional and very thorough. He takes his time and always explains what he is doing. As well, he is very neat and tidy, always cleaning up before he leaves. He will also remove the washing machine trap as it does accumulate "gunk" that can become quite odorous. During this visit, Greg thoroughly cleaned the dryer vent from top to bottom. He also removed and cleaned my washing machine trap. He left my laundry room cleaner than it was before he arrived as he cleans behind the dryer as well. Cleaning out the dryer vent is vitally important as this is a high risk fire potential. It is well worth the cost, which isn't that much, especially when compared to losing one's house, belongings, etc. If you want someone who knows what he is doing, cares about what he is doing and his customers and who is reasonably priced, call Mr. Greg Clark! He's the only I trust to do the job and do it right!

Greg was AMAZING! He came out the very same day I called and thoroughly checked out our Maytag gas dryer, pulled it out 5 feet, got behind the dryer and 1st removed the cheaply made and inexpensive coil that went from the dryer to the vent. It was packed full of very condensed lint that had been collecting for a number of years. We knew the dryer was working well, as we had already had American Home Shield come out to perform work on it, and they explained heat was excellent, but needed the vents cleaned which brought us back to Angie's List. Greg then cleaned the wall vent, which has extreme angles and the professional tools he uses allow him to connect approximately 3 feet of rods which interlock, (all attached to a steel brush), and he connected I believe 5 or 6 of the rods to a high powered drill which dissolved all of the lint going up to the outside vent. Our's is located on a very steep 2nd story. We have very high ceilings, and his knowledge and tools didn't require him to have to go outside on the roof. Greg removed ALL of the lint which filled a very large trash bag, and of course, thoroughly cleaned out our dryer. He also cleaned up behind the dryer, placed a new great quality coil ( that doesn't get crushed), on the back of the dryer, and most importantly, does not have interior ribs that catch lint that causes build up. Greg also recommended LINT ALERT, which has a smartTap and attaches directly into the the dryer coil and is attached into a plug in device which detects lint build-up in your dryer duct. It also detects pressure levels found in the duct work between the back of the dryer and the exterior vent hood due to lint build-up or other restrictions like birds nests or an inoperable vent hood. The wall unit has a series of small green, yellow and LED lights, and will warn you when it's time to have your vent cleaned out again, when yellow, and when flashing with an audible alarm if you're running your dryer and there is an obstruction It also serves as a night light in your laundry room or laundry area. Greg explained fire and gas safety to us thoroughly as well, especially since we have a gas dryer.. Also to keep the window open while running the gas dryer, due to gas fumes or leaking gas. We were so happy with his services, I called my neighbor who drove home from work to open his home up to get his vent cleaned and drove immediately drove back to work. Our dryer works as well as it it when it was 1st purchased! Greg is friendly and very professional! Will definitely use him again. The price included the LINTALERT, which was important to me.

Greg is a gem. I called him because my brand-new dryer (purchased a week ago and used about 3 times) kept shutting itself off and displaying an error code that indicated it wasn't getting enough air flow. He came out to my home this afternoon as scheduled and found that the company who performed the installation of the dryer had used a sub-par tube and did a sloppy job installing it. He showed me that after 3 uses the tube had already begun to cave in and that it wasn't properly attached to the wall tube. Greg cleaned the entire pipe system from the wall to the exterior vent and replaced the tube from the dryer to the wall along with securing the connection with tape since the part of the tube sticking out from the wall is old and it was impossible to get a tight seal. He performed his job methodically and thoroughly and took extra time to educate me on the basics of how the dryer piping system is constructed. He clearly is an expert in his field and I appreciated him taking the extra time to talk to me and answer my questions. It was obvious that he genuinely cared about the job he was doing and wanted to ensure it was as perfect as he could get it. He cleaned up the mess thoroughly when he was finished and reviewed the invoice with me before I paid or signed anything. I thought his prices were very fair. I found Greg to be honest, genuine, and someone who truly cares about his craft and his customer. I am so appreciative of his work today - my dryer now finishes the job in 1/2 of the time it took before. I'm also appreciative of his patience and his taking the time to ensure the air flow was improved by monitoring the dryer and the exterior vent after he was finished.This is my first home and I just moved in 2 months ago; I was very nervous about finding someone honest and fair because I'm new to both the area and home ownership, but Greg proved to be fantastic and I'm so relieved to have found him. I am his customer for life!

My dryer had a horrible burning smell. I found Greg on Angie's list and called. He came out the very next day--he is very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I have two issues: 1) The cost, to me, seemed high. $394.44 Although, I'm happy to be lint free & happy I have Dryflex tubing. 2) His estimate was written IN PEN on my dryer.....not thrilled about that AT ALL. I'm confused as to why he did this...or why he doesn't carry a calculator!

I emailed Greg at Green Home Dryer Vent Cleaning on Saturday late evening and he responded on Sunday and we made the appointment for Monday. Greg arrived as planned. Started immediately analyzing the connection from the wall to the dryer. The original install was broken at the elbow, so that needed to be fixed. Secondly, Greg started cleaning the vent and wow was it dirty with lint. Greg did a thorough cleaning and went up on the roof to make sure that the vent was working and cleaned properly. After the cleaning was done. Greg had to replace Dryer Flex, which is the hose from the wall to the dryer and he did this process twice because the first time did not work to his expectations. This process was very hard because of the tight area and Greg had to really squeeze in a very small area to make certain it was working properly. Greg was very clean and articulate in his work. Greg did a great job and I will highly recommend him to all my friends, neighbors and acquaintances. Thank you Greg!!!

Greg has it all and he knows all about dryer vent cleaning! I called just to get an estimate on replacing the aluminum air tube behind the dryer. Told him that there was a hole and some leaves were found behind the dryer (house was vacant for 7 mos). I was going to repair it myself after getting some parts from home depot, but Greg talked me out of it and said he should look at it himself to see what was the problem. He was over in 20 mins and Thank Goodness he was here. I don't want to go into details, but we realized that a rodent made a home and created a mess in the tube of the dryer and vent. Greg cleared every passage way in the dryer, replaced the aluminum tube and flapper and made sure there was no debris left over. He went above and beyond what was expected and I was very fortunate to have found him on Angie's list. No need to look any further!

We changed dryers and I called for him to come back as the lint alarm kept going off. Instead of making a service call, he guided me through the steps to re-calibrate which worked and saved a service call. He was so helpful and a true professional- thank you!

Greg and his helper did a great job! I had a really challenging clog in my dryer vent pipes which involved cleaning out 30 plus feet of pipes. It was not an easy job but Greg and his partner worked extremely hard to fix, now my dryer is running so much better! Very pleased with their responsiveness and quality of their work.

See above Job was ok as far as I know with the exception of faulty lint block sensor sales and follow up service was not.

Greg was prompt and was able to come to my house the day after I called him which as we all know, is extremely rare! He spent 3 hours cleaning out all of the dust and lint and even took off the front piece of my dryer and cleaned out the inside of the dryer itself. It took him about 3 hours. he showed me what was coming out of the vent and I was shocked! I am lucky that a fire hadn't started.

Greg was very professional and did an excellent job. The vent took more time than usual to clean and he worked very hard to complete the job. He also replaced the transition duct which was too long and crushed. I will definitely be using him on a regular basis to clean my vent.

I thought the cost to come and inspect the vent ( Angie's list deal) would have been credited to the cost of my service if I chose to go ahead with the vent cleaning. I was surprised to learn that I was charged an additional $175 for the cleaning. I more than understand the $99 charge if he were to take the time and gas to come and look at the job but thought $275 for vent cleaning excessive. The job was done very professionally, but oversold what they do??.it's just vent cleaning, not rocket science!!! I will continue to recommend to my clients that this is something they should have done when they purchase a resale, but will suggest that they shop around.

Came and did an assessment first. Outlined all issues and costs upfront. Cleaned the area to include wiping up the floor. Very nice and professional.

The very reason I use Angie's List is so I can find qualified, dedicated and knowledgeable business people like Greg who take pride in their work and deliver a quality service and product. A recent problem with a burned-out dryer heating element got me thinking about how long it had been since we cleaned the vent. At least two years, maybe longer. Looking on Angie's List I found the highest rated professional in the area and gave him a call. Real person, no voicemail. Appointment made with Greg, the owner, for the next day. He showed up on time, fully equipped. My dryer and dryer vent were so full of old lint and grime I am embarrassed. Greg knows what he is doing, I followed his advice and received a quality hose and an external vent monitor along with the thorough cleaning. Now I don't have to worry about guessing at a future clog, the monitor shows a quick visual on whether the air flow to the vent is open or clogged. One last thing, to show just what a true professional goes through to "get the job done." My utility room is a tight space, and to fit the washer and dryer with the new hose back in perfectly, Greg had to wedge himself behind the washer and against the wall while putting the dryer back into position near the vent. Greg then had to become a contortionist to get himself out from behind the washer, cleverly using a step stool, and more than a little bravery to squeeze and squirm back over the top! I wish I had thought of taking a video, I would have sent it out to become viral on YouTube! Great work, very reasonable price for the time, products and expertise involved, I won't be using anyone else in the future to clean out our dryer vent!

It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. Greg Clark was a pleasure to work with, extremely knowledgeable and professional. I ordered the deal late on Friday afternoon and he responded over the weekend via email and called when I didn't respond to the email. We set up an appointment for Monday afternoon which was great because it was taking forever to dry clothes and my dryer is only a year old, so I was concerned there was a blockage. He cleaned the vent numerous times and with multiple attachments to insure maximum lint removal. Greg climbed into the attic to check out the elbows to see if there was any way to eliminate them, which we determined was not feasible at this time. He installed the new shorter, better quality, semi-ridged duct behind the dryer. We discussed installing the Lint Alert, which I liked for my own peace of mind. He installed it and explained how it works. I am happy to say that my clothes are now dry after one cycle. Do not hesitate to give him a call, it was money well spent. Thank you Greg ?
