These people are thieves!!!!!! They took our money and never finished the job. We have the police involved and hired an attorney. They belong behind bars, stealing money is a crime. I won’t write a long note. But we paid them for work, the completed less than 50% and kept our money. This project is more than $50,000.00 dollars. Because of this sum, we won’t stop until we receive a portion of our money back. Consumers, beware!

I was given Jen Tierney’s contact information and we contacted her on June 14, 2021. After speaking with her for many hours about what we were looking for the fence for our property. We gave her all the info to our property to get an estimate. It took a few days to get the estimate but finally got it. We signed the agreement and sent over the initial payment $7409.65 to start the fence on June 17, 2021. I sent her pictures of exactly with measurements of where I wanted the front gate located. I also explained how and in which direction I wanted both of the farm gates to open on June 21, 2021. After a few text messages and phone calls to see when the fence was going to be started, finally June 30, 2021 got a message saying Jay was out at the property. In the mean-time on June 28, 2021 my husband was in a bad ATV accident and was in the hospital so my focus was on him. I was in the in the hospital with him til July 3, 2021. Sunday July 4, 2021 I was told she will get me photos on Tuesday when she would be at the property. I never received any pictures or messages. I sent a text July 11, 2021 asking for an update, July 12, 2021 I received a message back saying Jay had one partial side to complete, never received any photos. I sent her the final design for the wood I wanted on the farm fence, also Jen told me since I was not going to make it to the property anytime soon she was going to put no trespassing signs and also put locks on the gates so no one could access the property. July 14, 2021 she sent me a message for the balance for the fence $2469.24. Spoke with her on July 16, 2021 about a question regarding our neighbor. July 17, 2021 finally received pictures of the fence. She also sent me screen shots of her Facebook to add her as a friend. I sent the balance on July 18, 2021. Jen sent me a message July 23, 2021 saying the fence is complete and all Jay had to do was hang the gates. We also spoke about her doing an estimate on my mother in laws property in Davie. Jay and Jen were supposed to come down on Friday Aug 27 to do the estimate and bring the key to for gates in Loxahatchee. Never showed up or confirmed. On Aug 6, 2021 I sent Jen a message, saying we were going to our property on Sunday Aug 8, 2021. I asked her if she did put locks on the property didn’t want to drive all the way up there and not be able to get on our property. No response so Sunday we drove from Davie, FL to our property 1 hour north. When we got there we noticed there were no gates up yet and also the front east corner fence was pushed over like someone hit it, I sent her a number of pictures showing her the damage. She said she showed Jay the pictures and he said it looks like someone snagged it with equipment. Jay would be out there Tuesday to hang the gates, we have extra wire if needed. I also asked her about the tops parts of the fence post that Jay cut off to make it all even as I wanted to keep them to put them around our pond. She said sure no problem she will also save any other in the future and give to me, she gave many to her clients before for their property. I was so focused on my husband’s recovery that I did not realize that it was almost 2 weeks since she told me Jay would be out there to hang the gates. I messaged her on the way home on Aug 8, 2021 and told her I had some ideas for the corner so no one else would hit it. No response til Aug 11, 2021, Jen called me on Aug 11, 2021 saying it was the garbage truck that hit the fence. I called Waste Management and SWA and filed a complaint. She also told me that Jay fixed the fence posts that were hit, I called her from my work phone and we spoke about some ideas so that no one could hit the fence posts again. I asked her on Aug 12, 2021 to call my mother in law about the estimate for the fence at her house, Jen messaged me back on Aug 13, 2021 that they were at the surgery center with their step son. I messaged back saying I hope everything goes well with his surgery. Never received a response, I sent her messages as a friend on Aug 29, 2021 about mine and my husband’s marriage retreat and renewal of our vows. She messaged me back at 7:28pm saying “Oh that is so sweet and beautiful, Your so pretty Laura. I had super rough couple of weeks!” I messaged back asking her what is going on. I sent Jen a message on Sept 3, 2021 asking her if I walked about the property here in Davie to give her an idea of what we were looking for and give her measurements, if that would help so they would not have to drive all the way down here for the estimate. I told her our puppy got out of the fence 3 different times and we really needed to get the fence fixed, no response. I sent Jen another message on Sept 5, 2021 saying “Jen did you say you put a lock on the gates up there or just a chain because I am planning on going up there tomorrow morning and I would like to be able to get on the property and if there is a lock might need to figure out when we can meet up to get the key. Again no response. I sent another message on Sept 10, 2021 saying she never called my mother in law back about the fence down in Davie. And since I never heard back on Sept 5, I didn’t want to drive all the way up there and not be able to get on the property. Again asked her when we can meet up to get the key for the gates. Still no response, I sent Jen a message on Sept 23, 2021 asking to make arrangements to pick up the keys for the locks on the gates (as I was told this is what she was going to do). After not hearing from her since Aug 29, 2021 I made arrangements to drive up to the property, not knowing if I was going to be able to get on my own property. After getting up there I noticed there was no lock it was a small piece of wire wrapped around the chain. The front gate was not installed in the proper location that I made VERY clear with exact measurements and pictures of the front area. The side gate was supposed to be installed and open to the south, it was installed with being opened to the north. I walked around the property to check the fence and do a couple small projects and there was torn fence wire and trash from the packages from the wood and wire. This is very unprofessional to leave work trash on the customer’s property. Oct 6, 2021 I sent 3 certified letters addressed to Jen Tierney, American Farm Fence and Jay Mathis they were received on Oct 7, 2021 at 1:08 pm (Jay Mathis and American Farm Fence) and Oct 8, 2021 at 1:34 pm (Jen Tierney). I sent 3 hoping I would get a response from at least one of them but nothing. Oct 14, 2021 I sent her the same message in text message, on her Facebook, Instagram, and her company email. I gave her a chance to make all this right before I took further action. She still never responded, I honestly think she took advantage of knowing I could not leave my husband after his surgery to check up on the job. She made my husband and I feel like she was our friend and all she did was play games with us. She can’t say she was too busy because she was posting personal pictures and updates on Facebook. I never once spoke to Jay but I am sure if he knew the way he was running the business and not responding to customers he would not be happy. I can’t even count how many times my husband and I tried calling her and left voicemails with no response. Oct 18, 2021 I contacted my bank and filed a dispute for the last transfer we made to her. We now have to find another company or person to fix the side gate so it opens in the right direct. The front gate \ fence area needs to also be fixed. The Gate needs to be moved to the right which means 2 fence post need to moved from the right of the gate to the left side and the h braces corrected, also the fence wire is going to have to be replaced since the fence is stretched so it remains tight. This is a huge inconvenience as another company that are working with us on our property the projects had to be put on hold until this is fixed or it will mess up the covert completion and another expense and headache we should not have to deal with. I truly thought Jen was going to be a stand up person but she turned out to be my biggest nightm
