The problem was that I paid him a bunch of money to do the job, and all he ended up doing was hammering the rotted boards back in.  Needless to say, these fell back off within a month.  After I brought this to his attention, he kept saying that he was going to come back and fix the issue.  I waited and waited, and he never came back.  It was always strange because he asked for cash every time, and the one time I did pay with a check he took it to my bank and cashed it.  We ended up taking him to court and won because I showed pictures of the work.  It was just a series of bad events.  This led to raccoons getting in as well as water damage and other things.  I would not recommend them.

He advised me not to put cages over the downspout area because it just banked up the crud that gets in there. He removed the cages from my downspouts. I allowed him to do this because he was going to blow out my gutters and downspouts. What was blown out went on my house and on my windows because there was still water in the gutters. I found that there are still leaves in the downspouts. Another contractor that was going to do other work for me noticed the work that was not done correctly. I feel he rushed thru the job so I could get my car out. It bothered me that he wanted me to pay in full before he left and I didn't have a chance to have someone to look at the job to make sure I was happy. I called his references and they were all good.
