Tom Roy Flooring

Tom Roy and his assistant have done significant remodeling work for us. They removed the old carpet from the master beedroom and then moved the current main living area carpet to the master bedroom all the while saving and re-using the better padding from the main living area. They also removed tile from all primary traffic patterns in the house as well as the guest bath. Tom ensured the concrete floor was prepared correctly and then performed concrete moisture tests (bocally & chemically) in several areas of the house to ascertain which adhesive would be the most appropriate to use with the wood flooring we chose. Tom has now insalled our hand scraped wood flooring in a diagonal pattern not seen in most homes. He then installed a new tile floor in the guest bath. In addition to all this, he installed our backsplash using a split face stone. It was very difficult to work with this particular stone, but he did an outstanding job. Overall, Tom and Jay (his assistant) have been extremely helpful throughout this renovation. We cannot say enough good words about the attention to detail and quality of their work. Prior to their leaving, they made sure the entire floor was in pristine condition and then assisted in putting the primary items of furniture back in place. His last good deed was to replace a sun tunnel cover that no one else could refit but Tom and Jay did..
