Craig The Owner Of The Water Man and James His Tech Responded At Once To My Phone Call and Spent Between 2 and 3 Hours Trying To Save The Old Well Pump and Bladder Tank. This Wasn't Possible Because Of Various Problems With The Old Well Pump and Bladder Tank. At That Point We Decided Together That The Old Well Pump and Bladder Tank Needed To Be Replaced.
Craig and James Were Very Knowledgeable and Shared That Knowledge With Me. Any Question That I Had Was Answered and They Weren't Offended Or Put Off By Me Watching Them Or Asking Questions. A Friend Of Mine Suggested That I Use The Water Man For My Well Pump and Bladder Tank Problems. I'm Sure Glad That I Took My Friends Advice. I Will Be Using The Water Man In The Future If I Have Any Well, Well Pump, Bladder Tank, Water Holding Tank, and Water Filtration Problems.
They replaced a piece of pipe on a pipe for the old well system on my property (I now have city water) to move a tank (I am assuming a water filtration or softening system) and the pump about 3' from its original location, so I could use well water to water my yard. The contractor who was here replacing my patio dug the hole exposing the pipes going underground, and was also the person who showed them where the well was.
They plugged in the pump, said it was making odd noises and didn't seem to be working. Told me it would be a minimum of $400 to replace the pump, and they probably had to dig a new well too (didn't give me a price for new well). They took the pump and water filtration tank with them, removed the piece they had replaced, removed their part and charged me $125. I am not exactly sure for what, as the only thing I ended up with was a leaking hose faucet so now I have to call someone else to fix the leak. Can't afford all this, I am a disabled widow on a small fixed income.
I thought $125 was very expensive for approximately 35 minutes, no results and no parts, and they took my pump and tank, perhaps to recondition them?
"I'm sorry to hear you don't approve of what was done at your house, but please let me explain a few things. First, we give a 2 hour window for all calls being that we don't know for sure what exactly we will run into at calls before you. If he is behind because of an issue on a prior job there is nothing he can do to prevent that. If your appointment is between 10-12 that doesn't mean he will be at your house right at 10. We're sorry you did have to wait but it's out of our control. Next thing, like you said you are on city water now, not using a well for a long period of time can make a well go bad. We don't do the well drilling we have a referral company that we give to do that work so he isn't able to give you a price for a new well being he doesn't work for that company. Now about the $125.00 he still gets paid for his time and Anthony, this is a business, and like every other business even if you call them out there is still a charge for their time being at your house. Estimates are free, but here's the thing you didn't ask for an estimate you asked for the work to be done. So when they arrived they began the work. The equipment you had at the house had a seized up motor from being so old and not run for a while along with a blow bladder in the pressure tank. This is information he can only find out once at the house. He would not take equipment from your house unless you gave the approval of it to throw it out. Reason he does this is because the new trash program in the city they will not pick it up from you yard unless you call to have it removed. So if he did take it with him he was doing you a favor by throwing it out for you. We do not recondition old equipment because it isn't worth the time or money to do so, we simply throw it out. Our charges are as followed $65.00 service call charge plus parts and labor. From looking at your invoice you were charged for the service call and labor as well as the shark bite he had to use to connect the pipe together after he did move the line over for you so the cement could be poured. If you refuse new equipment like it was noted on your invoice because what you have doesn't work any more that has nothing to do with us. The price is the same for you as well as the next customer and that will never change. We pride our selves in being the lowest priced most affordable water treatment in town, and when we do this we are already giving everyone a discount on their services needed. Even on top our already low prices we still advertise with coupons for more off select services. I'm sorry your experience isn't what you expected and I do hope you would give us another shot with anything in the future we may be of assistant's with."
"Thank you for the great feed back! Check us out in the Hometown News Paper for coupons for savings on future needs you may have. We appreciate your business!"
"Thank you Member! You are very right we will not sell you something you don't need and we will always give you more than one option and what we best recommend for your needs and budget. Thanks for the great feed back!"
