Home Building
When our insurance agent told us we needed this inspection, we turned down his suggestion of the folks he used and immediately called Terry. (We had used Terry 5 years ago, on a friend's recommendation, to do our pre-purchase inspection, and he did a great job then).
It was a hot day, and we were scheduled for late afternoon, but he did not skimp when it came to the attic work.Just got in there & went through it.
He spent about 45 minutes total -- through the attic, walking the the roof, going around the house -- measuring, documenting and taking a plethora of photos every step of the way. **** In comparision, my dad (by coincidence) had a different company's inspector at his house a few mornings later when I was there. That guy only stuck his head in dad's attic, no pictures/measurements, then went outside and took pictures of the house, never went on the roof, and was gone in 15 minutes total. ****
In addition, he discusses his findings and explains things, and NOT just to my husband. He includes me in the discussion/explanations, making sure I know what's going on too. I might not have in-depth knowledge of construction, but I'm no dummy. So I appreciate that he does not take a condescending attitude like some.
His price is a little more than some others, but I know that every i is dotted and every t is crossed, and thatwe got our money's worh.
