Had a new irrigation system installed several years back. Had one zone in the front overloaded with heads resulting in low water pressure and poor coverage. Eventually had a competitor split the zone into two which helped a lot but was a fairly expensive repair. Just discovered recently due to new construction next door that 3 heads were placed on the adjacent property. Left a message for owner asking to have them come out and move the 3 heads back in my property. Even though it is many years later they should have had access to the survey and placed the heads in the correct location to begin with. Owner never returned phone call.
Response from R & S Soft Water Services Inc
"We installed this system close to 15 years ago not a few years ago. We install the system based on survey lines the original builder put in. Irrigation companies do not do surveys on new home construction the builder hires someone for this. Sometimes errors occur, we are human. When something like this comes up our company will go out and verify the claim. If for some reason the builder didn't survey the property boundaries properly the heads will moved, usually we charge for this at a cost basis. This means we move the heads and only charge our costs involved with doing the work. For a 15 year old system sounds to me you have had hardly any issues. Zones lose pressure due to lack of water volume from wells which cannot be controlled, we never installed your well. That is in mother natures hands, not R&S Softwater. I will cancel the work order that was generated when you called on the 6/16/2020 to verify your claim about these heads that were installed off your property 15 years ago. Due to over 2 weeks of solid rain R&S has been in a 2 week backlog of service work."

Visited the office on Tuesday and stated I needed some repair work done on my sprinkler system. They took name and address plus description of work and stated that it would be next week but could happen as early as this Thursday or Friday. NOTE: they should have stated they were backed up and the next week would be dicey. No show so I waited for next week. No show Thursday and no call. I called and office said they would move my ticket to the top. Friday and no show and no call. I called in mid PM and they promised I would be taken care of but it would be the last call. No show so I called at 4:50 PM and was told "probably not today" but they would schedule me for following Tuesday AM. They did show then and did a credible job in repairs.

terrible ,They came and advised that I needed a new pump. the one I had was not that old however, I took their word. Well guess what . I wasn't the pump. They came back and said it must be the timer. Well yes it was. I was upset because repair people should be able to analysis the problem, not try one thing and if that doesn't work try the next think. I spend over $600.00. I went to discuss my feelings and the service manager was rude and I will never go there again.
Response from R & S Soft Water Services Inc
"As you can see R&S Softwater rarely gets any negative reviews. All I can say is we did everything we could to make this customer happy. She had multiple problems, which in the end all were fixed. I think any reasonable person would understand, sometimes you can fix one problem, just for another one to show up. Which is what happened here. We give a 30 day warranty on all paid service calls. When we returned, the homeowner was never charged any additional service or labor fees. Which is how we handle issues like this. We only asked her to pay the cost of the timer. Our cost, not the retail cost. This was still not enough to satisfy this customer."

A crew of workers came out and knew exactly how to proceed.  Removed the underground tank, hauled away the debris, filled in the hole with potting soil that we had purchased (at the recommendation of Rob).  It looks like nothing was ever there.  Great job, great experience!

The work was done promptly and efficiently.  They left the area clean.  since then, they have given additional service when I called-for things that were not their fault.  I am very happy with theservices and recommend them highly.

Robert Wilson and the installation crew are always just fabulous to work with. Robert is very responsive and provided us with many options and answered all of our questions. The installation crew was very polite and very efficient. We are very happy with our water quality and attribute the quality directly to the great work done by the R&S crew. I would highly recommend R&S for any well water system needing work.

Came out at time and date promised. Water softener installed same day. Only one complaint. No literature/instructions/owners manual was left with us. I know nothing about water softeners or how to set the timers and it would have been helpful to have some sort of documentation to refer to.
Several weeks after installation, one of the pvc fittings cracked and started to leak. R and S came right out and fixed the leak.

They are on Angie's List. I used them in spite of the bad reviews. I've read the review and the response from Robert, the manager there. The response from Robert was very thought out and logical. They are also the people that installed my water softener 16 years ago. It did last for 16 years. I went in and they were out the next day and installed, and everything went well. They were prompt. Chris, the guy who installed it, did a good job. He drilled an extra hole through the wall for me for an overflow hose. I went down and talked to Robert face to face in the showroom. I have already done some research on water softeners and I bought it online. I would have installed my own, but I had a physical problem with my foot at that time and I thought I might not be able to handle it so I decided to go on and pay the extra money to have it installed. I am glad I did. I do most of the work around the house for everything including the plumbing. There is no such thing as a half hour job. You find out you just need one more tool. He had everything in his truck that he needed. I didn't price anybody else for the installation. I wanted to make sure that he had the controller and the size that I wanted. Since I paid about $900 in 1998 and I paid $230 more now so I say they are probably reasonable. When the guy installed it, he had told me how to set it up, and not to mess with those controls and so I didn't while he was here. I went to look at him and I saw that he probably had it more regenerating more often than usual. One of the things I know based on my conversations with both Chris the installer and Robert the manager is they try to avoid having to make house calls and that pisses people off. I know they can make a lot more money if they have but for customer satisfaction, they try to keep it down. I assume that probably was what the case was and they had it set for regeneration on less water than I really needed to. When I called Robert to ask him about it, he said I will never run out of soft water. Most people run out of soft water and they get excited and think it's broken, and they don't know how to run a regeneration on their own. It is perfectly okay if you want to adjust it to your particular needs.

"R&S Softwater Service runs service calls Monday thru Saturday 8AM to 4.30PM. Customers that have no water are always put to the head of line because of the emergency situation. We do not charge extra for this service as other companies charge a premium for it. Any customer can call and get emergency service in this time frame. It is impossible to go back 2 years and piece together the timeline, but I know what are policies are and have been for 65 years in business."

R&S installed our entire home well water softener system in 2006. There were a few hiccups with the system--for several years, we had been manually kicking off recharge cycles on our water softener, as something was off with the timer. Now, our water is not of bad quality and did not need constant recharge (maybe twice a week) and I preferred this to trying to figure out the manual dials and timer and such, plus the cost of a service call and potentially new hardware, plus it also saved me a bundle on salt!
However, we finally broke down and called for service when we noticed the water was no longer being softened and could not figure out how to get it running again. R&S came out within a couple days and replaced the head of the softener, and it has worked automatically, and well (no pun intended) since that time. I thought the call and price were reasonable, though the recharge rate was not set to the preferred interval that was communicated to the repairperson, and thus the softener has been going through salt at a much faster rate than before. We did not contact R&S for an adjustment.
The repairperson was prompt, knowledgeable, and performed the work within a reasonable time. Altogether a satisfactory experience.

Called Rand S @ 12:50.Service tech Ron called me within an hour and came to my house. He made the necessary repairs within 20minutes and my terrible Palm Bay well water is now looking much better. Im very pleased even if the service call was 95.00 which is steep but at least he had the equipment and new parts and the softener is working.

My old system was 17 years old and needed repairs totaling half of the cost of a new system. I could have ordered a system on the internet, but they showed me the differences in an 'inexpensive' system and theirs, one of which was cheap fittings that could lead to leaks inside the house.
Additionally, having R and S install the system removed any warranty questions. Read reviews on Amazon or similar sites about warranty horror stories with plumbing components not installed by a licensed contractor.
Installer arrived on time, had all of the necessary components and fittings, and was done in an hour. The system arrived pre-checked and pre-charged so that the pressure test could start immediately. The installer waited an additional 30 minutes to ensure that there were no leaks.
Service was clean and professional. I have been a satisfied R and S customer since 1981 and have no reasons to not recommend them.

Excellent as usual. I called for a Saturday morning time and they were there before 8am. I recognized workman from prior visit and he was punctual and professional as before. He got started right away and completed installation in under an hour. He cleaned up after and checked everything out before he left.

They were doing work on my mom's irrigation system (same neighborhood), so they came over and fixed mine. Also put a concrete 'donut around it to help protect it from the lawn mower.
They have done previous work for me (May 2013), repairing a poor job done by some other contractor regarding a rain barrel. The worker had to dig under a concrete box to fix the pipe, but he did it and there's never been a problem with it since.
