For the first few years, they were very good and I didn't really have to worry much about double checking their work. Over the last couple years, the Service has gone down hill drastically and they have been doing things that have actually been costing me money. For instance, they left the bleeder value open on the filter cartridge a few months ago and I found out, I had already lost well over 2,000 gallons of water from my pool (and my side yard was flooded). Their last Service for example was 11 days versus 7 days and the only thing it looked like they did was to throw some lose granules of chlorine into the pool/spa and then onto the deck by the screen door. They didn't clean the filter (in weeks), didn't clean the basket (in weeks), and didn't touch the pool itself (didn't vacuum or brush or skim). I won't go into all the problems I've had with them over the past couple years but it is time I pulled the plug. They didn't even put chlorine tablets in the pool skimmer or chlorine basket. If they had an F-, that is what I would give them because when I called this past Saturday to complain, the store Manager (Jenn) told me my pool wasn't green and she has no proof they didn't Service my pool. She also said they would be out Monday to Service the pool (it is Saturday now and still green with no signs they came). Simply pathetic that a company can get so bad at what they profess to do.

Provider estimated that service would take 2 weeks to complete. In reality it took over 6 weeks. Service people never showed up on days that they said they would. When asked to call if they wouldn't arrive when scheduled, they agreed, but never called or showed up. Finally called corporate headquarters to light a fire under the local franchise.

The service was excellent. They were here when they said they would be. They did what they said they would do. They answered any questions we had.

I had tried several swimming pool cleaning companies before hiring Pinch-A-Penny and I couldn't be more pleased. I've had them for years now. Since I don't need a weekly service, I opted for the bi-monthly which works out perfect for me. They clean, put in the chemicals it needs, wash my filter, and make sure it's always in tiptop condition. The pool tech, Gavin, takes pride in his work and the few times that I'm home when he is here, he explains what he is doing. I have never had any type of an algae problem since I've been with Pinch-A-Penny. I would highly recommend them :) Also, they have not raised there prices since I've been with them. Top notch service!

I do not recommend this company. I was disappointed that they charged me money to complete a level of work I was not pleased with.
